Officials intensify traffic inspection campaign, 1,760 vehicles seized
A crackdown on traffic offenders in the holy month of Ramadan has led to the seizure of 1,760 vehicles for various violations, Gulf Times reported the Ministry of Interior (MoI) as saying.
Motorists have been penalised for offences such as non-renewal of licences and reckless driving, which endangers themselves and other road users, the MoI said.
The General Directorate of Traffic at the ministry has carried out the inspection campaign in different parts of Qatar as part of its efforts to ensure traffic safety in the country.
The initiative sought to spot and penalise motorists who violated road rules and detected different traffic violations.
The campaign has also led to the registration of 26 violations pertaining to motorcycles for various safety-related offences in residential areas.
Further, a number of motorists have been caught during the campaign for driving without a licence. They have been referred to the authorities concerned for further procedures.
The directorate has urged all motorists to co-operate with it by complying with traffic rules and not allow those without a licence to drive in order to save people’s lives on the country's roads.

If the govt is going to make the ppl wait for 2 to 3 months for road test, i dont think it will stop ppl from driving without license. Nowadays i heard it even takes 3 to 4 months jus for road test. By the time they pass the test, it's almost a year.. Lol.....
Driving without license ?? OMG !!
