Online activities for children from June 7-11
Many of us are frequently finding it challenging to stay at home in long stretches. Parents could struggle with finding new ways to keep their children entertained at home.
Fret not! There are many ways to keep your child busy and learning while clicking away at the computer.
Here are our recommendations:
3D Print Mini-City

3D Print Mini-City workshop is organized by Qatar National Library. Children from ages 7 to 10 can learn 3D modeling by using Tinkercad software to design a miniature city. Additionally, they will also learn how digital fabrication tools such as the 3D printer can be used in prototyping by printing objects.
3D Print Qatar Stadium

Age group: Ages 7 - 10
Date: June 8
Time: 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Organized by Qatar National Library, this exciting workshop will learn 3D modeling using Tinkercad software to design a 3D Stadium. They will also learn about digital fabrication tools such as a 3D printer.
Minecraft Coding
Language: English
Age group: Ages 7 - 10
Date: June 9
Time: 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Organized by Qatar National Library, in this workshop children will get an introductory experience in coding and computer science in a supportive environment. They will learn the meanings of “coding,” “programming” and “debugging,” then practice these concepts through exciting challenges to complete the Minecraft tutorial.
Virtual Doha 2030

Age group: Ages 7 - 10
Date: June 10
Time: 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
In this workshop, children will build a virtual environment using CoSpaces Edu software. They will use models inside the software to build a scene and create the imaginary future city of Doha 2030.
Math and Science Enrichment

Age group: Ages 8 - 12
Date: June 11
Time: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
