Qatar Charity opens three new collection points at different parts of the country
The holy month of Ramadan is a time when people open their hearts and purse strings to help their fellow men in need.
Keeping this in mind, Qatar Charity (QC) has opened up three new collection points in different parts of the country. The new collection centres will be located at Al Ahli Hospital, Mall of Qatar and Mirqab Mall to facilitate easy access to donors, reported Gulf Times.
With the opening of the three collection points, the total number has risen up to 95 collection points located in malls, hospitals and other places. The charity also has 1,477 donation boxes, 162 collectors, and 64 electronic donation machines across the country.
Earlier, QC had opened six new branches in Muaither, Al Khor, Al Wakrah and Abu Hamour to work more closely with the Qatari community and facilitate easy access to donors in their residential areas to make their donations.
The number of QC branches has now risen to 25, including 16 for men and nine for women.
Donations can also be made easily through Qatar Charity’s website.
On the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, QC has organised a number of courses and workshops to enhance the abilities of its collectors to deal with donors and the masses.
