Qatar seventh most peaceful country in the world, top in MENA region
If you have felt that Qatar is one of the most peaceful countries in the world, then there is official confirmation now that it is indeed so.
Crime Index for Countries 2016, a global database issued by Numbeo, puts Qatar up as the seventh most peaceful nation on earth. It is also the most peaceful in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, reported Gulf Times.
Qatar scored 20.41 points in the crime index to finish as seventh.
South Korea had the lowest score, 14.99, and was chosen as the most peaceful nation on earth. Singapore, Georgia, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong followed them.
The database used a 0-100 scale for values as it considered crime levels lower than 20 as very low, between 20 and 40 as low, between 40 and 60 as moderate and between 60 and 80 as high. Those countries with 80+ rating are considered as having very high crime level.
Three cheers to the Ministry of Interior and other relevant departments for keeping the country safe and sound for everyone living in it.
It has to be, if the few who are lazy would make some efforts we can be even better by the next year .............. ...........
