Qatar's population hits 2.21 million
Qatar's population has touched an all-time high of 2.21mn, according to the latest figures released by the Ministry of Planning development and Statistics.
This figure is based on the total number of people present inside the country as of October 31, 2014.
As expected there are more men in Qatar than women. According to the report, there are 1,654,720 males and 561,780 females.
The latest figures showed an increase of 29,174 people in the country compared to the figures of September when the population was 2,187,326.
The October figure shows an increase of 191,793 (9.5% growth) people in the country compared to the figures of the corresponding period last year when the population was 2,024,707.

Doha is the most public transportation deficient and road area deficient city in the GCC.
And yet the public transportation is a big problem here. Not everyone can afford for a taxi/carlift on their daily travel, karwa must increase their units(bus) and make the trip intervals into 10 minutes in all their routes.
