Can you get a job without certificates but
Can you get a job without certificates but very GOOD with computers. And speak three languages. Arabic, English, Urdu.
I don't have school certificates but i did studied to 10th, couldn't proceed because i cant (or i don't have any interest in studding at all).
I am kinda computer maniac, knows alot about computer related stuff, including web designing etc. And also software related stuff.
I can do some computer courses but don't know where to begin.
That's why i wanted to know first, is there any jobs for people like that in qatar.
About my self, i live in qatar my whole life (18 years old) was studding here since last year when i leaved the school. my father is working in Qatar petroleum.

I didn’t take your post in negative way and your right in every story there is greener side.
I felt that because pathans are most confident ppl I have ever met & they do not find education a barrier in reaching where-ever they want. There are so many uneducated millionaires who might inspire these matric pass students that 'if this person without any education can make money then why cant I?' But money is not the only thing in life, personality building is only & only done by education. Thankyou for the info that there are a lot of pathan doctors working in HMC, I personally know a lot of well educated & well settled professional pathans myself, so you should not take this in some negative meaning. There is always a greener side to every story ... cheers & have fun :)

CONFUSE ............ if you cannot convince!
Education is very important for a person to build his / her personalitym, without it s/he is animal. I remember my father used to show us practically by switching off the lights in a room & asking us to see through it & then switching it on again & again asking us to see through it & tell the difference. He is very right that without education your mind is blank & dark & you dont have the ability to see beyond a certain point but with education you can see every thing clearly & make better decisions.
I remember my colleague who is educated in English medium school, born & brought up in Qatar, joined a bank immediately after his 12th (Intermediate level). I am talking about somewhere 10 years back & later on when I started working there & resigned after a reasonable number of years he was still working at the same post, low salary & no self-confidence. He was doing his work very well but his promotion was held back only because of his promotion, how bad & sad he felt at those times, I could see from his face. Just a year back I think he got promoted to Officer level which would not help him that much based on the system existing in the bank.
You are very young & vibrant, full of confidence & I understand children at this age are so over confident that they want to just jump into practical life & prove themselves but for 1 or 2 years you might enjoy, earning some kind of money but later you'll start feeling low & the self confidence that you'll lose in ur office, you'll take that out at your family / wife / kids once you are back from business hours. Because that would be the only place you would find yourself dominant. So, my dear, I sincerely suggest you to continue with the studies if not as a regular student then study as a private student, since you are a Pakistani, you must be knowing about PEC conducting exams for overseas students in their premises. All you have to do is buy the books, take their schedules & study private at home & at the same time you can do the job too. After a year you just need to appear in the exams .... isnt that easy :)
P.S: I have a feeling that u r pathan, correct me if I am wrong.

Get training while you can...
Here I have met a person managing a business and having family visa status with out any certificates....but the guy is very capable ....still he had a tough time with the authorities to grant him family visa.....
Wonder why family visa is linked to Education? It should be linked to Income....oh ...forget it..
Errm maybe you need to spend some time going back to study, even if you 'don't have any interest in studding at all)'
People here have worked hard to get where they are through study no doubt so why do you think that you can get a job here with no qualifications?!
Are you crazy?! You're 18 right? Go to Uni get some certificates otherwise you won't get far!!
Qatar to get a job. Heard of 30 people this week that have been sacked.
This particular company employed them 3/4 years ago (more fool them), the company decided to make redundancies, checked 'made up CV's' and bang that person is gone.
Don't lie on your CV.
My thoughts are my own, but I doubt my Mum would agree with some of them.
even with Westerners now, we have to to show no debts in the West and a valid degree.
My thoughts are my own, but I doubt my Mum would agree with some of them.
well,, from my point of view, if you can makeup a good interview, its possible for you to join a private firm without certificates...but i dont think government firms will recruit a person not holding certificates also the CID clearance will fail..
anyways, all the best...specially, whn you are confident, you have great heights to persue...

Thanks for the comment, my brother said the same thing. So might do that.
@ the-birdie
well, there is no dream salary, i just want good one from start like 5 or 6 thousands QR. then later increased in few years. like normal jobs around here.
@ bestinbusiness
mmm, i don't understand, how is it that it depends on nationality. nationality has nothing to do if you can do the job. about qualification, there is almost no difference between me and my father who studied till 16th. infact, he told me if i do his job, i would be bitter then him, my father is some kind of manager in QP. mostly he does computer related stuff. Correct other employees mistakes. that's only thing he know about computers. oh and i am not from india, i am from pakistan. i think its same.
Its not that urgent, i have still time to decide what should i do next. i was just looking some advice.
My main question was, Is it POSSIBLE to get a job in companies (including big companies) without certificates.
Other question is where to start, i mean is there a place in qatar which tells you that blablabla company have jobs.
you might get a job but you will be stuck in same position for years. There is no growth without education
It depends on two things
Your nationality and ur qualification
If you are from India especially from kerala then you can get a job without certificates but if you are not then you need to have atleast masters in some fields.
Reference matters alot
Best of LUCK Dude
but what is your dream salary ?
especially a kid who is grown up in Qatar will be having colourful dreams, comparing with the needy boys who come from your homecountry, who will compromise on the salary and work hard to prove.
I am sure you get a job, but dont expect a fat salary for initial years.
u can do some courses n get certificate then u will be more valueable..
no problem if u just studied till matric but do some computer courses properly n have certificate u can go to aptec for short term courses they offer..
or can go to NIIT there also have web designing course n advanmce microsoft which is useful..
