Ex Pat: Nursery Jobs?

BCA
By BCA

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone with a better idea than me knows whether many ex pats can get jobs in kiddies nurseries. Basicaly Im an ex pat mum (English) and I'm thinking about finding a job in a nursery. I dont have any qualifications or experience apart from being a mum!!! I am however studying to teach english as a foreign language and thought that some nurseries may like to take advantage of a native english speaker who can teach the kids English. Not sure on salaries as I know that they can get Philipini workers who dont expect 'high' wages, however I also do not expect a huge salary!!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks :)

BCA and Godisgood...the info below is taken from mums the word recent newsletter..you can find the whole newsletter in QL mums group...There is a demand for native english speaking teachers/assisants. The pay is not ususally good but i guess its up to you to decide that.

I know that First Steps are always looking for native english speaking teachers and assistants but i think they pay about 2000QR a month...The pay varies depending on your qaulification/experience, if you dont have any they will employ you but obviously pay will be less...
