Is it advisable to visit companies and submit CVs (hard copy) to their HR? Or am i going to rely on online application?

.. it's very frustrating sometimes that whatever you do with your application, you'll never get any attention. this is because for a single position, there are at least a thousand applications, and the person looking on it doesn't go into all the resume' details. it's sometimes a game of luck. in some situations, it's not what you know but whom you know in order for you to get a job.. in today's application processes, it's all done online. all applications are sent thru email and wait for a call. even if you go to the offices, hoping for a walk-in interview, they'll never give you one. you'll only end up on the receptionist who will give you a ready made piece of paper with an email address in which you're going to send your resume.

.. it is therefore important that you send online applications as much as possible. always remember that you're not the only person applying for a job, always think the fact that there are thousands of applications for a single position.

Always try both. Applying Online lets you have your CV in their database in case of present or future manpower requirements. While personally applying and submitting your CV, may provide you the opportunity to sell your good points to HR / Employer.

However, when going to submit your CV personally, please look presentable and professional. I see a lot of people applying for positions in rugged clothing, they seem to have forgotten that first impressions is important.
