Jobs with QP/QG/RG
Greetings friends,
I am new to this forum as I was highly recommended by another person to use this forum. I would like to know how do you get into QP or Qatar Gas or Ras Gas. I am an civil engineer with more than 17 years experience in Qatar and I have been applying for the past 1 year with QP or Qatar Gas or Ras Gas, via their online system and I do not get any response at all.
Some of the positions that QP have on their website, is the same position that I saw last year. As none of the positions on the QP website has a posting date or application closing date, its so difficult to know which one is new and which one is old. Moreover, you cannot apply for more than 3 positions with QP via their online system.
I do know that if there are qualified persons they would get the job. I have been reading the forums at Qatar Living and I have seen some responses like:
[a] Without influence do not even think of getting a job with these companies.
I would like to know does everyone who get a job with these companies got a job via influence?
Any responses would be good.
according to my wife it's QP recruitment policy..processing of documents will take time..from department endorsement to visa processing...

Thanks for your response. From what you have written I guess it took almost 6 months for QP to recruit your wife? Is this correct?
Its encouraging to know its know always influence. Could you tell me why it took 6 months for them to recruit your wife, is it how they work usually?

my wife got the job of sr. position in QP without any sort of influence...she just applied online and within a month, the QP responded. After less than 2 months, she recieved invitation for a technical interview right here in Doha and after 3 months, she was hired and mobilized...it's not always of the so called influence, perhaps due to requirements and qualifications....

The responsese of "without influence do not even think of getting a job with these companies" may be in some positions as within most companies its who you know not what you know, but it does happen applying on line is how I started to work for QP without knowing anybody within the the company.
