Rasgas expatriat employees - Good and Bad!
By RMACLELLAN •
For all those expats who work with RasGas can you pass on some information about what's good and perhaps not so good about the company, Salaries, Benefits etc. Considering work with Rasgas possibly in near future and would like some insight! Thanks in advance to all those who share some candid opinions for me to digest!
Q-companies got fixed education allowance matrix ,most probably it covers the needs of each grade relative to its salary level, that is not negotiable or changeable within a grade just like any relative benefit of their own" furniture allowance, club membership allowance, etc...)
If you want to compensate this u must try to negotiate in the basic salary mainly ,which is not also an easy thing but @least got a range inside each grade...
Again Mary,by any means do you have any person u know that recently joined one of the Q-companies? I do not know why I cannot find an info. about associated compound names here except in posts more than 3 yrs old!?
If they do not provide full cover for the items mentioned I would consider it a deal breaker and move on.
Mary ,
Just got 2 comments
1)Do you any any current(2013) compound names for RASGAS,or they still place in Al Khor and Al Dana although they are very utilized?
2)Full education allowance not provided for all grades, it got limits depending on the grade I think...
Basic inclusions: full accommodation that will follow the real estate market; full medical for the family; if you are married - annual tickets home for everyone; children = full education allowance
Guys,
I Know this an old topic ,just hope for a fresh information regarding current compounds for Q-companies(like QG,RG,QP...),I heard Al khor and Al Dana are already full or they still place their employees there?
lol! yalla get married and come over with ur wife! but pls just a word of caution, dont come with forged marriage certificates, some had been caught my MOI already. So, get married legally so that there wont b any set backs!
they key is negotiation..
good luck to u!
LOL! :-)
Thanks blint-maldeni! Of course I'm planning to marry legally, InshAllah. I would never marry or break the law to get job in married status, I don't think it is worth it :-)
Regards!
Thanks for info bint_maldeni. I'll come in married status and housing allowance or company accomodation are provided by RasGas. Let's see who will decide wich one to choose, company or me ;-)
Good luck!
ANARhist ...as to how much allowance would be given - i dont have any idea, but in general i think they are giving an accomodation for both those with family & bachelors.
I think you can negotiate with the company, either way, its a win - win situation
Thanks for your comments. At this point i,m still in the process of preparing my Resume (CV) but should have it sent off shortly. Good luck with the rest of your process to employment. As far as feedback on your queries i really have no insight to oofer as i,m new to this whole process.
Best of luck,
Ron
I've also got job offer from RasGas but through recruitment agency and all benefits mentioned by bint_maldeni was mentioned in the job offer in spite of the fact that RasGas doesn't hire me directly.
Who knows if the houing allowance paid in RG to ALL people who don't want to use company accomodation and prefer to rent a flat/house himself? I mean I was offered company accomodation OR housing allowance I want to know who makes decision in this case which benefit (company accomodation or housing allowance) employee will be provided?
Thanks.
RasGas is a very generous company IF your are hired directly by RasGas... but if you will be supplied by an agency then its not so good...
RG DIrect hired employees on a SR level, gets a nice home, educational assistance for kids, annual tickets for your family every year (but for the kids, till age 21 only), paid leaves, medical insurance....generous bonuses & yearly salay increase(increase will depend on ur yearly assesment), club memberships and a lot more... I hope you get a job job & fair enough salary...
Very good. When else can you contribute to an industry that churns billions for Qatar. Negotiate the base salary well. The standard things on their free list are Furnish housing,Insurance, medical, children education, annual travel etc. Good Luck
