So much of Descrimination!

Its such a discrimination towards Qatar non-nationals. Companies are ready to offer a job for an inexperienced person with a handsome salary and nothing for the rest. One of the job portals that I read the other day stated- "Qatari nationals only apply- Desktop Presenter-18,000 to 20,000QAR" WTF!!!!???

And I also see that no company is ready to hire a person who has a work experience of less than 3yrs. :((

THERE SHOULD BE NO DISCRIMINATION IN ANY POST WHEATHER HE/SHE IS QATARI OR NON QATARI. IF WE CONSIDER IN ISLAM - FOR ANY REWARD OR PUNISHMENT ALLAH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANY NATIONALITY: ARABIC OR INDIAN OR AMERICAN!! SO THERE SHOULD BE NO DISCRIMINATION IN ANYTHING ACCORDING TO NATIONALITY.

Well.. I agree they want to give Qataris the right to work and motivate to..but are they really worth it??? Forget about qatarisation.. look at the give away??!! In any other country other than Qatar to what Ive seen, no descrimination is made in the paycheck. They aren't even worth it! Damn!

Thank you for all your lovely posts! I can see what Qatar has made you all into..

It is not discrimination at all.

Qatar is a ‘young’ country and at the moment the locals do not have the need to go and do the jobs we do. We are employed to do that.

Can you imagine a local working in a supermarket or cleaning toilets?

It is not going to happen for many years.

They are a young country and they are a rich country. They have very educated people who do the ‘top’ jobs but that is the way it is. This is their country and they can do what they like.

If we are so offended by the locals not doing the jobs we are employed to do, why don’t we all leave?

Let’s all go back to our countries and not earn more than we could do back home.

There are problems for sure. I don’t like the NOC *ollocks, I don’t like the camps that labourers are kept in. I don’t like the way we are ALL made to feel they owe us a favour.

Yet here we ALL are, taking their money and living the way we do. It may not be perfect but we are here and in some cases, we encourage others to come here and take chances.

IT'S TOTALLY UNFAIR TO GIVE DOUBLE SALARY FOR SAME POST WHEATHER ITS CITIZEN OR NON-CITIZEN. I SUPPORT YOUR IDEA. THOSE WHO SHOUTED AGAINST YOUR POST ARE NONSENCE AT ALL. DON'T CARE THEIR WRITTING. YOU ARE 100% RIGHT. THIS COUNTRY HAS TOO MUCH DISCRIMINATION, REALLY IT'S TRUE!!!!

qatarisation...

they encourage their people to work. Great idea actually. And it's not too bad to make at least some basic research about the country where you are going to live. If you did, you would have heard about this widely known policy in Qatar.

yeah 18 to 20k is very low... ; you are free to go anytime, nobody hold you to stay here in qatar.

Makes a change from all these foreigners coming here and taking our jobs

All these locals are taking job us foreigners have a right to. Why don't they just leave their country and go ssomewhere else or just sit at home without a job

You couldn't make this up

Right, we don't want to see Qataris in the streets demonstrating for accommodation and food like in Egypt. Don't we?

What a strange thing to write? If qataries move to your country with 3 years experience can they get a work permit?

Part of the remit here of the companies is to develop the local population and that means taking inexperience people and training them.

If you don't understand that you are too dumb to work here
