Lack of knowledge/following western culture?

I have been watching in Masjid that some people men or children are coming for prayer by wearing short trousers, sometimes just reaching up to knee. These people seems to be from middle east non nationals.
Is it not allowed to offer prayer without having the proper dressing. Is it lack of knowledge or following some western culture?

over concerned regarding dress code. in heaven or paradise all of us will be naked before God....

In this modern world, internet is the great equalizer.

I think they are naked stone cold. Gods have no need for clothes. Either that or its a pair of jeans with a white t-shirt and cowboy boots....

I can imagine the conversation goes something like this....

Dear Prophets and companions, what shall we do about the sucide bombers, the muderers and the like that kill in my name? What about the paedophiles and the child killers? What about those that miss my teachings and cause harm to others?

F*** that Sh*t God there is a bloke down there praying in only his shorts!! We must smite him and teach him a lesson in respect....Release the angels of death...

The near perfect costume that I have seen on TV worn by osama is a white flowing robe, a white head gear, a beard and wide smile when praying to god.

When will people like you, ajinasma, ever be satisfied? When you can blame EVERY error EVER committed ANYWHERE in the world on the WEST????

Just absolutely PATHETIC...

You're wrong Xena, God gave you free will to make choices for yourself, then he gave you a book of instructions telling you exactly what to do taking away your free will. Well you could ignore him like his naughty child and then he will tortue you for eternity.

but their thaughts are overshadowed by their ignorance when it comes to worship.....and they dont really care about their appreance for the sake of completing a particular task

It dosen't matter what you wear when praying. That does not add up to credential and genuinely of prayers been said. So whats the perfect dress code?

i dont think there is a dress code on any religion's belief.

God created human beings & Dress created by us

Think broad -pls !!!!!!!!!!!

when u go for a job interview or any fmly or social event we r so careful about our dress code

than y do we take things for granted when it comes to prayers and GOD

ppl are ignorant about the facts and they take lotta things for granted

when it comes to worship

its not lack of knowledge or influence of the west

its simple " ignorance"

Is it a requirement to be fully covered for men in mosques?

Is that like an Islamic law?

"Ali Baba and 40 thieves" are now "Ali Baba and 30 thieves" ; 10 were laid off.

Not to be contrary, but American culture does include praying at the mosque.

I have been to Florida and some of the shorts , especially the plaid ones are hideous. If this trend hadn't started in the West, then there wouldn't be such problems here..

You should be comfortable what you are wearing.. doesn't matter who else thinking about.. but you should respect where you are and who is around by you.

The issue is not imitating the western culture or whatever, its all about wearing long proper clothes below the knee no matter what cultuer they follow.i normally wear tacksuits or long jeans, does that mean i am more westernised and my prayer might not be accepted?

Yeah blame the west. I am sure all the western govts and people are trying to undermine prayer time by influencing people to wear short trousers.... that really is the end of civilisation....
