My life is my Taj Mahal to this world
Oprah Winfrey, the great talk show lady had visited India recently & her interview with Barkha Datta was more than impressive. When she was asked about her visit to Agra & whether she would like somebody to build such a monument for her after her death, her reply was 'My life is my Taj Mahal. Every word of her conversation was so meaningful. Let me jot down a few lines
-India is a country where people don't talk about religion, they live religion
-It takes a very keen observation & insight to realize that amidst all the chaos & lawlessness of traffic, there lies epitome of tolerance of human existence in Indian cities.
- If you want your fellow human beings to connect to the underprivileged section of society, always highlight the human side of their life. Highlight their courage, their faith, their spirit rather than their poverty & filth to which nobody wants to connect & feels 'that's not me'
-Education is the only key to the treasure of opportunities for less fortunate people of this world
-Your identity is what you want to be & not what you are.
Hats off the great woman of my time. Dear Oprah , we will always remember your visit to our beloved nation.
Thanks & come again!
Used to watch Oprah few years back...
But coming back to the interview of Oprah at the Jaipur Book Festival, She had the courage to go on Live Tv and say " She was Molested when she was a teenager " and that made me respect her alot....
I see her words as a very important message to all humanity. It is better to live your life in such a way that
fruits of your good work reaches to everyone in society & are eternal rather than building a monument of stones for which people have buy 100 Rs ticket to appreciate & pleasure lasts only for a few seconds.
Don't like Oprah, but I agree with a lot of what she said..
"If you want your fellow human beings to connect to the underprivileged section of society, always highlight the human side of their life. Highlight their courage, their faith, their spirit rather than their poverty & filth to which nobody wants to connect & feels 'that's not me'
-Education is the only key to the treasure of opportunities for less fortunate people of this world"
