Pregnant Minister and politic effects

Platao36

First Muslim to hold a ministry in a Government of the French Republic, Rachida Dati frightened the country when she assumed last week her pregnancy of four months, she is not married and does not say who is the father. A notice that interests the rose Press, but that also this pregnancy is full of politician symbolism - Rachida Dati assumes the pregnancy alone, without complaints, she that belongs to a right Government - and the father could even be a sperm donor… " I always said that i wanted to have a son but we need to be cautious, due to the 42 years pregnancy, it has risks. If it consolidates and I will be able to have it, I will be happy. If not, I will be sad, but I put lipstick in the lips and carry on" , she said.

second world war showed their true fighting spirit...

During the battles for the Phillipines, against the japs, some american troops managed to escape capture.

They managed to reach some french troops, and thinking they were safe, joined up with them.

The french, who hated the yanks, and fought alongside the japs, propmtly turned the yanks over to the japs, who used the yanks for bayonet practice, kept them in camps and beheaded a lot of 'em....

Thats the sort of people the french are.....Smelly, cheese eating surrender monkeys.

Please don't call us "Brits".. Its derogatory and insulting :)

The french have always been sneaky . They screwed dear old Cornwalis, not because they loved America , but because they were still smarting from the humiliation of the Seven-Years War , which the lost.. They couldn't beat us in Eyrope, so decided to stab us in the back..

As far as this lady is concerned, the press is only interested because she is muslim by name..The French are usually very open minded and carefree about what their politicians do in private..... and rightly so!

What about the debt Americans owe to the French, whose aid during the Revolution secured our victory over King George III? Not only that as she got a role of minister on a conservative party, on an European country and being a muslim single mother that decided to keep on secret her private life issues.

Sometime ago in a post at this forum France was acused of not giving religious freedom to muslims, think it will also show that in Europe we have a multicultural society and that there are no restrictions regarding beliefs.

A few months ago she was lambasted in France for upholding a court decision to annul a marriage between two muslims on the grounds that the woman was not a virgin.

This was not the actual ruling, rather it was the interpretation. The court reached its decision on the basis that the woman had been dishonest in the marriage contract. Dati said she thought this was the right decision because neither the man or the woman wanted to be in the marriage.

The poor woman cannot win. She gets accused by the right wing of being a muslim fundamentalist when she is clearly nothing of the sort. I wish her the best and think its great that someone of such humble origins has risen so high.
