Saudi Arabia + Sharia = Total Mental Insanity

I just read that a 75 years old women has been sentenced with 40 lashes, 4 months in jail and subsequent deportation of the country after meeting 2 men's without any other male from his family.

The facts :

On 21st of April in a place called Al Shamil (northern province) Khamisa Sawadi meet Fahad (a non-direct parent - nephew of his dead husband) and Hadyan (Fahad friend), the two young guys, was visiting the women in order to supply some food, as the woman (whatever she was married with a Saudi National during more than 50 years dont get the Saudi nationality - that also explain the deportation fact). She is a Syrian then a foreigner.
So they have been caught by the Religious Police, and even Fahad explained the case, that the old women use to take care of him when he was a newborn, and the fact she as no ressources or whatever, the fact is that Fahd was also sentenced with the same punishment except the deportation part....

AND NOW MORE FUN, HADYAN (the friend of Fahad) the guy could not even prove that he could have any family relation with the poor women...
SO 60 LASHES AND 6 MONTHS JAIL>

MENTAL....

Thanks Darude for the article.

I wasn't trying to be a pain or anything cos i know how to use the google.

i just think this story is completely whacked out.

but then, the king might be "nice enough" to give a reprieve like the poor girl who got raped and they wanted to flog her for it!

i think some one who knows a bit about this sharia should give us some insight. though i can't imagine there is much justification.

Why don't you bring some proof of this story from a paper that is not biased against sharia?

I don't really believe this.

And some people still question why Islam /Sharia have a bad reputation among non-Muslims!

my fault, because i forgot to mention that this case which strted in 2008, get it's final part yesterday when the Supreme Court confirmed the sentence.....

That's why they came back with story....

Anyway is not an option, is the fact that Islam encourages to take care of elderly and young people and lashing a 75 years old women is just INSANE....

And i am awaiting anybody that can justify this....
