Religious tension further spreading in Sri Lanka....
Religious tensions seems spreading further in Sri Lanka as another tense situation was reported from Mawathagama of Kurunegala district yesterday over a sign board.
Reports say a tense situation was erupted as the police attempted to remove a sign board which they claimed illegal.
The sign board erected in front of a mosque on Kandy - Kurunegala highway posted the message "Be silent before the mosque".
DIG of the Mawathegama police station visited yesterday evening had tried to remove the board. However area Muslim residents stage protest against this and also argued with police officer to submit the paper of court order.
sources say, adding that the leader of Buddhist extremist Bodu Bala Sena Galagodaaththe Gnanasara addressing a rally held in Kurunegala recently had asked the sign board be removed.
LOLS ROFL LLR ............ recently animals are also logging in QL
Yeah but you know all Sons of Chimpanzee's have no access to beams or may be you can donate.
ROFL on their sayings "Kindness is my religion". Dogs in my neighbourhood shouts a lot but being kind to them I never ask neighbours to take out as we need to be tolerant and
kind with people living around us. If one like peace, love and togetherness they wont create big problems for such a small issues.
It is all about respecting others and their beliefs regardless of what we think unless it harms our own.
Maybe swinging from beams would be more appropriate.....
RIP Being a Son of Chimpanzee "jumping up and down" suits you very well. Keep up with the good work until you reach the climax.
outside above/below ground. :) One funny thing is that they are not 100% sure. It is like "Yes it is there" "Yes it is there"
P.S. Non-sense.
It is not really necessary to have a signboard outside but to escalate unrest for a small issue which was not enforced physically is a open stupidity and intolerance.
I have been to India for few days and Saw temples and Mosques in one street. No one has any problem. These intolerant Buddhist would like to change their history it seems. As instead of focussing on their IN now they are bothering about a sign board.
Although jumping up and down when praying would be amusing!
I didn't say they do that, I said they could if they wanted to for all I care
"jump up and down and sacrifice animals"...RIP, FYI no one jumps, dance or sacrifice animals inside a masjid.
Its always better not to comment bullshit stuff when you are not urself 100% sure.
thank you
Stacey I think you miss understand my point. Inside their mosque they can be quiet, jump up and down and sacrifice animals if they want and I would fully support them in their choice. (Although I disagree with their beliefs)
However once they try to impose themselves on common ground there by affecting non believers then that is wrong. They want to impose silence on a common road where anyone is free to pass. They have no right to do that
I can see all around the world
Eeehh . . . you are showing intolerance to a call for peace.
That applies to all such places not only mosques, it can be for hospitals too where critically ill patients are admitted for treatment and require silent atmosphere.
The sign board erected in front of a mosque on Kandy - Kurunegala highway posted the message "Be silent before the mosque".
I would not agree on this...ur praying inside the masjid peacefully...that does not permit u to put a signboard in front...There are other religions too which need to be respected
This sign board is just creating problem
respect others and not just urself
Any sign/board without the permission of local authorities is illegal definitely and shall be removed. But it is displaying a message of peace and tolerance, so can be socially acceptable without aggravation. Oppression is a character in man and is hard to control. Buddhist are supposed to have the best of control but, have failed here/recently across the world.
What? So, you are now using your atheist view point to impose rule among your fellow human?
Since when atheists become the Oppressor?
Well I guess they are free to set the rules inside the mosque but they should not impose their beliefs outside on common ground
