Okay $4300 is my offer! I have a 7mnt old baby and a wife to support. I have free medical and house. Now i think about my families clothing, groceries, entertainment, travelling, car etc. Is this enough to relocate to qatar? Should I ask for more? how much?

Lal, then that means that you'd only need to pay for food, correct? That's not bad at all since all you'll have to pay for is food. I'm not sure how well in earn back home, but if you convert this means R30,000 tax free. Can you survive with that amount? Things are a bit more expensive here, but only if you're not used to Woolies ; )

Retaurant bills are quite high if you go to hotels (the only place where u can get alcohol with your meal) but can be very cheap if you go to some cheaper restaurants.

Booze is quite expensive here, like R12 (or QR6) for a beer at QDC (the only place where you can buy alcohol from and you need a permit for that).

If you want details on anything, send me a pm with your email and I'll gladly answer any of your questions.

The bottom line is - would you make more then this in your home country? This is about 15,000+ Qatari Riyals per month. Yes, you should be able to live ok on that salary. Housing is always your biggest expense in Doha.

Do a little research on what airfare costs are to places you want to travel. Try to do some research on cost of living in Qatar vs South Africa. The price of automobiles (my husband bought a 2007 Honda (small SUV) for about $27,000 QR. The insurance on this is around $800 per year. This was a brand new vehicle. If you check the classifieds on here there is always someone selling a used vehicle..

I hope this helps you out some.

Best of luck

Lisa
