Adopt and then throw out the adopted child for failing to integrate.

A Dutch diplomat has denied trying to "get rid" of a seven-year-old South Korean daughter he adopted as a baby, amid public outcry over the case.
South Korean officials said Raymond Poeteray and his wife gave up the child because she had failed to integrate.

But Mr Poeteray told Dutch media that the couple had parted ways with their daughter because of ill health.

The case has triggered strong reactions in the Netherlands, South Korea, and Hong Kong - where Mr Poeteray works.

The couple adopted the girl, Jade, at four weeks old.

Poor girl

How sad. If the girl is better off in her new home, then maybe it was for the best. Not all adoptions are perfect, I feel for both the parents and child. I'm sure it was not easy on any on them.

It's a sad fact that some people just can't bond with an adopted child, no matter how much they think they want them.

Reminds me of the movie 'Artifical Intelligence' by Steven Spielberg. It is a sin indeed.

What goes around comes around. So when the kid is strong enough to fend for its self, it will dump the parents.

when I was coming to Qatar, it was a very hard thing to leave my cat there in my country. I got her a new house ( My aunt's) and I regularly send money for her to get feeded decently. It was tough. If that is the case with animals . so HOW the hell could anyone get rid of a child after 7 years ?????

People like that think children are just another accessory to their prestigious public image...what a shame. They don't deserve to have children.

I understand now why adoption procedure is so complicated in some European countries. People need to think twice before adopting a child. This is a life-time responsibility not by anyway a game.

My Ex was adopted in very similar circumstances, after a few years around the far eastshe settled down quite well in Holland. It's a shame for this girl.

When we travelled to Korea they where quite worried about all the children that had been adopted.
