BOURNE007
By BOURNE007

I just read about a ban on alcohol in Qatar. Does that apply to Americans also? Is that still in effect?

Flor, you are completely out of your depth here - quit while you still have some dignity - you're being exposed for the total twat that you have always been.

Actually most of the people who say we are muslim and they muslim by name only their all the acts from morning to night are same as Kuffar (Dis believers)or even worse. If some body says i like pure and cleean food but he eats only dirty food could any body say he likes pure clean food.

Haram is Haram even very little amount Haram is Haram

read again my comments. Do you want an explanation? Precisely the others are not commenting because they understood my comments.

Now, you want elaborations about that quote of yours?

sir_qofh

Your quote

"Is there anyone here who will stand up and say, he never got drunk but drink alcohol?.....any person who drinks will surely get drunk in the end"

"ANY" person who drinks, is your quote.

I would safely say about a billion people drink alcohol.

So you did say that. And it is 'on topic'.

By flor1212• 13 Jan 2012 15:19
flor1212

ignore! If you can not comprehend my comments, then you are ...... what?

When did I ever said a billion people who drinks alcohol is wrong, LOSER?

And you are going out-of-topic, I thought you don't like it! LOSER!

By sir_qofh• 13 Jan 2012 15:15
sir_qofh

So a billion people who drink alcohol are wrong, but 3 people cannot be wrong about your attitude? Interesting...

It only takes a 'sip', I mean, 3 people ;-)

So Flor, you paragon of virtue, you have never over-stuffed yourself at a meal, never wanted just one more kiss from a lover, never gone onto youtube and watched 'just' one more video than the one you were supposed to watch, never overpaid for a car that you wanted because it took your fancy, never bought a property on a whim because it took your heart, never eaten one more chocolate because it was a special occasion, never spent one more dirham than you should, never read one more page of a book you just could not put down, never stayed 1 minute more with someone because you enjoyed their company, never turned off your alarm clock and had an extra 5 minutes in bed, never took a BREATH more oxygen than you needed because you are the pillar of all that is right and live your entire life within the parameters of quantity of what you should take and should do.

You don't even moderate your brain from posting 'just one more' snobby, condescending, thoughtless post on this thread.

"addiction" to smoking started? BC or AD? When?

By flor1212• 13 Jan 2012 13:34
flor1212

a "starter" like you. I'll give you a year, even less, if you never got drunk even once, then you can remain standing! Lol!

I am always interested why smoking does not get a bigger hatred than drinking. Drinking only affects me, and my body.

Most arabic countries they smoke like a chimney. Last time I checked, passive smoking can give you cancer. Never heard of a passive liver disease sitting next to a drinker.

By sir_qofh• 13 Jan 2012 13:27
sir_qofh

Some people can moderate themselves.

I will 'stand up', I am not admitting to being a murderer for christ's sake, I had a glass of wine with a Lasagna that my Mum cooked last time I went home.

Yes, one, medium sized glass. I was not drunk.

What you are saying is that someone who opens a box of chocolates CANNOT eat just one, that have to gorge the whole box.

You know that is not true.

The wine complimented the food. I had one glass.

Thoughts? I am sure you will condemn me as a evil person hahahaha but you are the idiot for thinking it is 'all or nothing'.

getting DRUNK, right FAthimah? But who gets drunk? Is there anyone who started as drunkard immediately? None. It will start as a simple sip, yeah, maybe with a good meal. For a start. But then what?

Ask those who were successful in rehabs. Those who eliminated the addiction, they despise the thing totally. Even as a sip on a dinner table.

Is there anyone here who will stand up and say, he never got drunk but drink alcohol? So the ke word is PREVENTION. Different people have different level of what their body can consume a quantity of alcohol but believe me, any person who drinks will surely get drunk in the end and when you are drunk, your mind is not functioning NORMALLY!

Of course this is not for the disciplined drinker! But is there is?

Drinking alcohol is a major sin in Islam BUT it is not an act that takes one out of the fold of Islam. Nor can we say a person who drinks alcohol is not a Muslim. A person who consumes intoxicants is committing a major sin but on the same token so is a backbiter, a slanderer, a adulterer, even a habitual liar etc

We mere mortals have no right to pass judgement on who is a Muslim and who is not among fellow Muslims. This is making Takfeer and is a sin. Nor can we claim that just cos so and so consumed alcohol he is in hell..Audubillah! There are even people from among the companions of the Prophet who consumed alcohol yet due the good deeds they did following it were forgiven and granted paradise(proof from Sahih hadith in Sahih Al Bukhari). Allah is Most merciful and He alone forgives whom he wills. So a person can drink alcohol but due to his/her good deeds surpassing his/her sins can still enter paradise.

That said, I repeat, yes drinking alcohol is from among the major sins and any Muslim who does so should repent to God and discontinue his act if he indeed wants to please his Lord. This will Insha Allah be better for him/her.

It would be a very strange 'god' who rejected someone who lived their life in a wholesome manner, respected and cared for his fellow man and woman, did everything right and true, but liked a drink every now and then.

Imagine that! You do everything 'right' and then some loser god says "sorry, even though you were a good person with a good heart and are pure inside, you are not coming into heaven because alcohol passed your lips".

Besides, the things I see some religious people do, alcohol should be the least of their concerns.

If they drink alcohol means they are not muslim.

Muslim means 'Obedient' to God. If they disobey god they are no longer muslims.

Nobody can be Muslim by keeping muslim name.

Obey and you will succeed.

You never existed before 100 years nor will exist after 100 years. Death will catch you for sure, if you want to be ungrateful and disobedient, face the torments later.

Alcohol if taken in moderation is beneficial to health. Some medicines also contain small amount of alcohol, so why is it Haram?

sales at the Pearl-Qatar. This is an area in Doha where many restaurants were offering drinks with meals. They were recently told to stop that practice. You cannot bring alcohol into the country, but there is a government-run liquor store. You must have a license to purchase alcohol there and you will have a limit. All the 5 star hotels still serve alcohol.
