We are proud to pe Pakis and in UK if Pakis feel shame then its their problem and they must chanege their attitude. Allhamdulilah we are pround and Pakistan is the country where we studied and we became engineer or doctor or watever. So I am Paki and I am pround to say this.

look guys a man itself make others to tease him. if any1 will take it as an offensive remark and we became aggressive or become against them then every1 will come to know that this is the word from all the pakis become aggressive and they will take it as an offensive remark. But if any paki does not take is seriously then no one will take it as an offensive remark....

WE ARE PAKIS NO MATTER WHO TAKES IT WHAT WAY!!!!

It is very good to see that Pakies are here to share the views. This is first time may be.

well yes it sure does sound rude and insulting (to me).. i would like be called Pakistani rather than a paki..

paki is piousness in Urdu tho... not a nationality ..

hope am not offending any1.. yet in my humble opinion the word 'paki' is insulting and rude...

in UK it said as a racist slang.....and we know what a person mean by calling Paki in UK....

so its different prespective....

While Dad was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked stone & scratched lines on the side of the car.

In his anger, Dad took the child's hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, his child said 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?'

Dad was so hurt.

He went back to car and kicked it a lot of times. Sitting back he looked at the scratches, child wrote 'I LOVE YOU DAD'

I just want to add one thing, that writing Urdu in Roman is NOT Urdish. Urdish indeed is a mixture of English and Urdu languages. but just using the english alphabets as a medium of expression, should not be termed as Urdish. Hope I have made myself clear.

I agree with Abdul Rehman that being Pakistani if we communicate in our own language , then there shouldn't be any issue.

hey you guyz thanks for posting here ... and mzain your most welcome... well abt the language i think its good if we write in english... look there are two choices if we want to make our people on an international level then we have to use english... but as you can see all those others like philipinos (FOR EXAMPLE) they have their own same kinda topic but all of them talk in their own language (PUKA PUKA LOLXXX) well if we want to keep urdu alive we must write here in urdu so that the pakis could think that there is an urdu forum.. right??? And if any 1 dont know how to write then we should teach him/her...

well its a democratic system in Pakistan so we should take votes that should english be written or Urduish english??????? (LOLZ)

1) to all those 'Pakistanis' who were born here. Do you consider yourself Pakistani or something else - Qatari perhaps ? Do you get Qatari citizenship ?

2) why do you have to write in 'Urdish' (urdu-english) ? Personally I hate it - I think it 'bastardises' both languages. Its like when Atartuk banned the Arabic text in Turkey, and invented his horrible spaghetti-turkish text that is used in Turkey today. Secondly, given that this is a public forum, not everyone can read the Urdish.
