Angry father castrates daughter's boyfriend.

anger is perhaps justified, but taking this action is beyond stupidity...

Would you condone his actions ?

if so.......why ?

An enraged father who disapproved of his daughter’s older boyfriend went to his home and castrated him with a bread knife.

Helmut Seifert, 47, was enraged when he heard his 17-year-old daughter was having a relationship with Phillip Genscher, 57.

He went to police in the town of Bielefeld where he lives but officers said they were powerless to intervene.

He then recruited two work colleagues at his factory and then went to the house of the victim. The man was forced to remove his trousers and, fully conscious, he was castrated. The severed testicles were taken away by Seifert.

The man was close to bleeding to death but managed to call police. His life was saved but he remains a eunuch for life.

Seifert pleaded guilty and will be on trial for attempted murder next year. But he has remained silent on who his accomplices were.
He told police; 'I received a phone call anonymously that my daughter was involved with a guy 40 years older than her. You said you couldn`t stop him - so I did.
'I saw it as my duty as a father.'

What makes me laugh here is that the man is supposed to have 'lured the unsuspecting 17-year old'. Thanks for the laugh polkadots. There is no such thing as an unsuspecting 17-year old in Europe or any other developed country. What I suspect is that there is something wrong within the relationship with her parents. The feeling of love towards another father figure or love towards another male could have been mixed up. Castration as own justice - wrong, daddy!

we should see at the root cause, what this lady 17 y/o is doing with an older guy..maybe she found love that her father could not give to her or some attention...

agree with monerci that is no need to do that act (castration). it's a very bad way to resolve the problem...for sure that 57 old guy will make a revenge! Brit we are waiting for what will happen :)

the course of true love never did run smooth...:)

but, jokes apart..the girl's father had to show his maturity to deal with such a situation. he should have known that this was a case of mere infatuation which would have died down in a few days or months.

if i had been her father, i would have looked for her a handsome hunk and explained to her that her elderly boy friend would soon be an ailing old man and she would have to look after him all her life as a nurse..

the handsome hunk probably would have done the rest..

Nowhere does it say that he was cheating..and what he did is NOT teaching a lesson..

I would say there was something wrong with the relationship of the parents and the daughter. No normal 17 year old would chose a man that age to be her "boyfriend". I think counseling would have been of help.

The father castrating the man is wrong, completely wrong. He may have gone to the man to tell him to leave his daughter alone, but not more than that.

What this 57 year old man did is immoral.

This 17 year-old is underage, so the police must have arrested the old stupid man who is cheating his wife.Since police are sleeping, the father MUST protect his daughter. The father didn't want to kill the bad old man he only wanted to teach him a lesson so he can respect himself and go away from children.

Castartion is evil-True, But so is luring an unsusp ecting 17year old, The man is clearly old enough to her father and soooo "overmature'that he should have stayed away even if the girl were to make any advances,....So both actions were equally evil.
