Any good eating places?
I'v had a good snoop around today and last night.
I'm on day 4 by the way.
Loads of places to eat, but I would love some guidence on what is good and where to go.
I love trying new things and will eat almost anything, I'm not just looking for "posh" resturants by the way, I love going into little back street places with great food that the workers go to and I will look odd, who cares.
So any tips you lot?
I'm on the prowl again tomorrow and I'm staying near the Sports Roundabout and I have no car yet, if that helps with the general area.
Vegas is that true?
I think I should get rid of you now...

Thai Chi in Villagio
"Everything in life is destiny."
Awtar restaurant is not that good quality as it used to be. This is a normal epidemic with Doha restaurants. Like what happened to Assaha restaurant. They all start good then gradually regret the good quality

I like to try authentic / new to me food.
Recomendations of where people know are good and not phoney.
I like all things but I do like a bit of spice.
Raw is deffinately out though. Yuk!
Call me Maninibat!
Did anybody try the British Sandwich Cellar on Ras Abu Aboud?
And any suggestions for good thai food? Tried the one in villagio and kinda liked, but not sure if it's authentic?
Novita, you mentioned Thai Snack in Al Mirqab - sorry, I'm not too familiar with the streets so far, where is that?
To give guidance about eating places, I need to know what type of food are you looking for. Like oriental, french, chinese, mexican. And if you like it raw, medium or well done

they have the most amazing tiramisu, the best I've ever had actually, and what's better is it's fat free! their cheese cake is equally mouth watering. You could also try Za Moda at Intercon, their pasta is just divine...a bit on the pricey side though.
I'm really picky when it comes to kebab, so the only place that does it for me is Asherij cafe at souq Waqif. It's only 8 qr a plate. Plus they have really good shisha. Hope this helps!!
are you talking about?

Thanks for the advice guys [and the entertaining hand bag fight].
I will definately look some of these places up.
I've been to one of then though, the Kebab King.
I stumbled into there after my marathon walk last Friday.
WhatI had was ok, maybe I need to try other things on the menu.
Any suggestions, what have you had there Eco_savvy?
Call me Maninibat!
well if he's anything to go by with his other posts, it would lead me to think otherwise. However I'll keep my comments to myself about that subject.

@alexa, I'm trying to keep in touch with my feminine side. I got too much man inside me :P On a side note, seems that Darude is an insulting person isn't he?
@darude, if you read some threads as I mentioned before you'd see I need to reveal nothing. A person with half decent deduction skills could make ANY assumption.
