AVATAR (James Cameron's movie)

James Cameron's Avatar had an early screening in London and I was wondering how many people in qatar would go see the movie. I am a big Sci fi lover and am looking forward to seeing it here. Probably the 17th or the 18th.
I hope IMAX at villaggio is open by now. Would love to see in 3D.
The movie is most likely gonna be great or is it a car crash with very strong marketing. Tell me what do you guys think.
I hope they sell avatar marchandise at the cinema.

hey sandeep...

can you please read my above post again.

I quoted that "well,i did'nt tell you to give nice comments about the movie, nor asking you to like it...

Yahhh..you're right, it's a matter of taste!

Some people will like it, and others don't..."

Did I offend you by saying you love your own Bollywood?

Scorpion three if you liked the movie, it doesn't mean the whole world has to like it. You like it great, I am glad you enjoyed but I didn't like it so what? Am I not entitled to my own opinion or do I have to like what you like?

In James Cameron's movies visual effects usually take precedence over the story (e.g. Terminator II, Titanic & now Avatar). I think this movie needs to be judged for the whole cinematic experience it gives to the audience.

"I know it isn't real but you can try to make it real"?

As far as I know, the man & his team have worked for over a decade to develop these special effects & you wouldn't see better ones in immediate future. I certainly appreciated the effects. My point is if these are not good enough for you, then there is no better choice mate!

with the Noble Savage,,,an old theme and perhaps more important since Mother Earth is getting Borged.

The increase in the population of this planet is bevond sustainability now, let alone another 3-4-5 billion people within 30 years. The oceans have effectively been emptied, the atmosphere and oceans are becoming saturated with pollutants, and things will continue to worsen.

Its very much like when one wheels your parent into a hospital knowing that thet will come out in a box.

That is what is behind Cameron's tale.

It was just like a Bollywood movie.. The sci-fi aspect wasn't convincing enough for me.. I know it isn't real but you can try to make it real..

Boston Abyss was class...

Matter of taste I guess.. You loved it, I thought it was the worst movie Cameron ever made ;)

Nice visual effects but stupid unrealistic story. 1 out of 10 from me. That 1 is only for the greed element of invaders shown, that part sounds believable.

Thanks AbuAmerican, read your post late though. Well, I guess it was just so incredible amazing in 3D that we didn't care too much about some words, who doesn't swear now and then? Seriously, great movie!! We went to the midday function (12 pm) and luckily the other people at the theatre behaved properly, so no ringing phones, no crying babies, no chatting (although I'm afraid my son and his friend QL VIP son were now and then too excited with the effects) no restless kids running or bumping the seats... memorable experience.

Went to see it yesterday and it was by far the movie of the year if not decade, and maybe even century with the new ways of making movies that were incorporated. You must see it in 3d or you will not get the full effects of the movie.

Plenty of moviegoers but probably wouldn't know what's going on to the story as per mental capability.

Yes, nothing compares to 3D on a big screen.

The movie has opened in Qatar and is showing in IMAX in Villagio.

I was dying to see it and will see it during this week.
