Bad experience in Doha Bank
the other day i went to Doha Bank, to enquire about couple of things ..
took a number for the customer service and stayed waiting for it to be called, once it was my turn the customer service representative had a call on his mobile
he picked it up, discussed with his girl friend how to best deliver him a book .. and discussed as in, the best time, location, and if the bank's main gate was closed she can ask the security to call him .. many other things were discussed while i was sitting facing him and he did not even make any eye contact .. mad and upset i left he did not bother himself even to wave for me or ask me to wait another minute as it seems like the standard here
i went out done couple of things that i had to do .. then back to the bank .. in the same day myabe an hour or less than that .. to the same staff .. he did not even apologized for what happened earlier!!!
even worse, i wrote a complain e-mail through their website and received a call in the same day .. guess who called .. the other customer service representative and asked me to go to him (the person who called) directly if i needed anything specially that he remembers me for some reason .. and asked me one more strange thing he said "next time u don't have to complain, as the system here in Qatar is different from Bahrain and don't expect the same level of service, yes we are trying. and he is only a poor man"
where on earth a front desk staff can pick his mobile up when attending a customer??
and then the customer is being asked not to complain much!!!
hahaha... This is DOHA .. QATAR... Love it or Hate it...
and Doha Bank releases salary very late
that does not happen in doha bank only my friend, in a lot of commerical/business places here in doha this happens most of the time. people assigned in the customer service department should know first what CUSTOMER SERVICE is about before they apply for this kind of job.
it's a good thing i have my account in QNB.....Doha Bank and commercial bank are going to the dumps,in terms of customer service,i guess!

Doha bank customer service very veryyyyyyyyyyy bad, some times they behave very rude. i had lot of experience.
We might get better service...
Funny thing is McDonalds has perfect customer service...

If you do a search in QL you can find many posts on bad customer services in all fields. HSBC is even worse....
Complaining won’t be of much help… sending a mail to Gulf times letter to editor might help.

no bad intentions at all .. just wanted SOME real customer service .. eye contact for example!!
and this doha bank got an award for best bank in the middle east 2008

same scenario, but I had a good thing from the Bank Manager herself. The young Qatari staff was relieved of his position. Do the complaining with good intention and you will get what you want. But if you complain with bad intention, you'll just get more frustrated.

that's their lame strategy to piss you off and leave them alone... i have experienced this many times...but due to health reason and i don't want to have a heart attack throwing fits inside their facility..will just leave and forget it... they are useless as always...

that's the problem here they dont know how to deal with a customer. they should have put the right person for that because the action of one reflects what kind of service they offer.
