It is so sad, that expats come here and cannot find honest help with property in Doha! Why must people be greedy?? You can still make your money and not have to rip people off!!

The only way to have a good agent is to pay him a good commission!

It worked with me last year.

I tried so hard with real estate agents until a friend of mine (8 years in Qatar) told me that they will do the impossible if you give them a commission.

Well, I tried one last time with this agent promising him around 5,000QR commission and he was able to reduce the rent of a new 3 bedroom apartment from 9,500QR to around 8,000QR (during July last year!).

Nothing new. There is not a single reputable real estate agency in Qatar. Best to avoid all together. Very difficult to get upfront honest answers from any.
