Baqalas: To move or not to move?!
It’s not practical for a person to visit a big shopping centre every time he or his family needs something. The home delivery system the grocery stores offer is unbeatable.
The CMC has suggested that these shops, which employ nearly 10,000 people, be relocated into a neighborhood shopping complex instead, but that plan has also sparked protest.
The Peninsula reports:
The smaller outlets have their own utility for residents of an area and they are quite crucial, so bigger shopping complexes can never substitute them.
“For instance, if one needs a small bottle of milk or water, quite late in the night, one can simply call a neighbourhood store and ask it to deliver the stuff at home,” said a businessman not wanting to be named.

Baqalas are really helpful in the hour of need.
The biggest problem will be... they cant drive up to the bakala park wrongly... and then honk till the malabri appears to take their orders...
They means... they... you know ;-) lol

Was it Timebandit ?
FA, spot on!
These Baqalas are like 7/11 in rest of the world.. Only Difference is that You won't get Alcohol in the Baqalas.. ;)
Let the baqalas stay where they are. It will be inconvenient and impractical for most if they will move to the big shopping complexes.
yes these baqalas are very much required during unexpected time
IMHO, i don't these baqalas to move to a bigger establishment..
well my opinion not to increase but not to demolish the present ones
in my opinion they should increase the number of such small shops
