BLACK MAGIC is no crime in QATAR. WTF !!

.
A Doha court has ruled that black magic is not a crime in Qatar and acquitted a Pakistani of related charges pressed by his sponsor.
The sponsor had filed a complaint with the police saying that he “found” a roll with unknown scripts in the purse of the accused and claimed they were meant to harm him.
The accused said that he got the paper with the scripts from a religious man, during a trip to his country for medical treatment five years ago.
He claimed that the sponsor, who had bought the ticket and gave him QR7,000 for the trip, knew about him keeping the scripts in his purse.
The court saw the scripts and said they were meaningless and did not indicate anything.
The court said that the suspect did not use the papers fraudulently as black magic to gain the money of others but it was found in his wallet.
The court also said what the suspect did was not mentioned in Qatar’s law book and therefore cleared him.
.
Are we living in MUSLIM COUNTRY. If YES, then how can BLACK MAGIC is not a crime in QATAR. Very sad to hear this

it's not all that easy , If the benefit weighs out the harm then in some cases the haram becomes halal.

Allah doesn't want you to harm your body and HE made this religion easy.

as for the country ( which one you talking about) then , they make mistakes , just like any other country and law has mistakes .... what are you saying ?!

If you are saying that it is in your book to ban this things, why is there any exemption? does it mean that the book you guys are following have exemptions? And medicines who'se side effects cause intoxication should be banned as well?

If you guys are saying that Muslim Countries exercise the Shahria Law based on the book, then what is happening here? Those who implement the LAW are the no 1 breaker of it. Such an example for others to follow, huh?

Thank you Umm-Salayum for your answer.

I was just curious how many people will condemn alcohol, but still believe that other things, like sheesha, are okay.

Imagine if cigarettes were restricted like alcohol, and only available at QDC to pre-approved purchasers...

fubar , NO intoxicants are not only alcohol

I was just making it clear for le- libano, who was saying it's not in the Quran that alcohol is haram....

you see :)

Is 'intoxicants' limited to alcohol?

What about narcotics?

Or tobacco/sheesha?

Or food additives?

By umm-salayum• 1 Jul 2009 10:08
umm-salayum

you said :"knowing that in the Quran, there is NO WHERE stated that ALCOHOL is haram !! the Quran only states: do not approach prayers when you are drunk !!"

I'm sorry you are wrong - please read and learn :

hamr or khamrah is the word used in the Quran to denote a fermented beverage that intoxicates a person when he/she drinks it. It is sometime translated as “wine”.

The general rule in Islam is that any substance that get people intoxicated when taken is unlawful (haram), both in small and large quantities, whether it is alcohol, drugs, fermented raisin drink, or any other form.

Intoxicants were forbidden in the Qur'an through several separate verses revealed at different times over a period of years (6). At first, it was forbidden for Muslims to attend to prayers while intoxicated (4:43). Then a later verse was revealed which said that alcohol contains some good and some evil, but the evil is greater than the good (2:219). This was the next step in turning people away from consumption of it. Finally, "intoxicants and games of chance" were called "abominations of Satan's handiwork," intended to turn people away from God and forget about prayer, and Muslims were ordered to abstain (7):

“ O you who believe! Truly, intoxicants and gambling and divination by arrows are an abomination of Satan's doing: avoid it in order that you may be successful * Assuredly Satan desires to sow enmity and hatred among you with intoxicants and gambling, and to hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. Will you not then desist?” (5:90-91)

intoxicants = alcohol

There was a little temporary stall set up in Villagio near McDonalds a week or so back.

They were selling all sorts of stuff - clocks, posters, CD holders.

There were even voodoo dolls for sale next to the key rings.

Were they breaking the law too?

if those pieces of paper were the lyrics of Celine Dion songs...then that should be enough to be banned in itself!!

Le-Libano...focus on the topic...if you don't have any supernatural thingy to be included in Qatar Law, then don't post it :p

List of what should be include in the Qatar Law:

1. Black Magic (punishable by death using Black Magic)

2. Flying Unicorn (Shoot on sight)

3. Dementors (send to Industrial Area for eternity)

4. Flying Witch (to be hanged on their own broomstick)

5. Voodoo dolls (to be inserted up their a$$ if found on their possession, with pins attached)

Atif...anymore you'd like to add? We can then send it to the Ministry for Review, with your name on the requesting party, of course!

It's not because things are difficult that we don't dare, it's because we don't dare that makes things difficult!

gypsy...i saw one last night past thru my house...they are being followed by a group of Dementors, who are being chased by a Patronus Stag, with a group of young kids on a broomstick yelling "Expectum PAtronum".

Atif...Do you think they should be included to be banned in the Qatar Law, as they are creating such a disturbance! I should've called 999 last night, don't you think?

I'm just talking about QATAR LAW not about COURT RULING. Plz read it carefully and then comment

.

I'm just saying why there is no law for BLACK MAGIC in Qatar which is a MUSLIM COUNTRY regardless of this fact that is it in practice in Qatar or not. When it is clearly & strictly banned in ISLAM then there should be law & punishment for practicing it.

what purpose is there to refer to sharia' ?? at the end of the day, people of "decide" how to interpret the words of God in the Quran, will do it in the way they want !! proof that there is no such thing as sharia' but only hipocrasy in ALL muslim countries:

-first cigarettes kills you right? (does anyone dare to say no? its a fact !) and by they Islam bans the cigarettes since it harms human, so it is HARAM (muslim scolars says noooo, its not, coz 90% for them smoke !!!)

-In the finance world, in the Quran, it is as clear as cristal !!! do not take interrest, it is HARAM !!! yes yes yes, it is writen and no one can deny, it is a major sin, no differance between interrest on money and eating pork in Islam !! and i dare anyone to proove the opposite ! but can you name me 1 muslim country that banks do apply this ??? (they can ban alcohol, knowing that in the Quran, there is NO WHERE stated that ALCOHOL is haram !! the Quran only states: do not approach prayers when you are drunk !!, we can argue on Alcohol being haram or not, coz its not clear !! but again, alcohol is banned, cigarettes alowed, Interrest allowed ect ect ect .. what they see fit, is actioned, and what they dont is not !!)

same thing when talking about Weed, if anyone, checks the history books, with a bit of rearch, you will clearly find about: "the Hashasheen", a well known thru history group of muslims, known to smoke weed and used in the muslim conquests ! check it out yourself !! but now, weed is banned for political purpused, a bit of research and you will find that weed is much less harmful than cigarettes !! but yet again, it is banned ! (p.s: i dont smoke weed personally, coz i dont smoke at all, so i am not deffending anything, i am just prooving a point!)

Black Magic is punished in Saudi Arabia..

The point in this case is that the guy was just carrying parchments of paper..

As I know, it is mentioned in Quran that Black Magic does exists and has been practiced for a very long long time. But I don't remember reading any article that said people practicing Black Magic should be punished.

For those who have strong belief in God and his grace won’t have to fear from any such stupid activities. I personally give a shit for Black Magic.

atif242, the man was obviously harming no one. The sponsor was just "afraid."

Qatar has once again proved itself to being a country and government that "thinks" before making a gender not drive vehicles, or amputating people.

The guy harmed no one, and moreover, that stuff does not work or even exist if one does not believe in it to give it power.
