I am seeing this in all the papers that HMC is in need of blood donations immediately. You never know considering the traffic here we may  one day be on the receiving end of this.  Here is the link with necessary information.

treasures, you can do it every 6 months.

gypsy, true! ur hemoglobin count must be 12 above. You are not smoker, do u? usually smokers have high hemoglobin count. Its good for our body as we able to produce new blood.

liana, yes sweety must be in doha for 6 months even if you came back from vacation. And should be free from any antibiotics drug 2 wks prior to donation.

the rule here is you have to have been in the country for at least 6 months, continuously.

I saw such a campaign few months back in the newspaper and went to HMC, they did not accept my blood because the hemoglobin count should be greater than 12. I had only 11. We had this campaign in our office premises last month. But many people don't like to donate blood as they think its not good for their body. There should be some awareness campaign to clear the doubts of the people and encourage them to donate.

i agree about this idea i already donate with my work 3 months agio can i do it again ??

if not then i would like to to help in organizing.

Good idea Esl, I've been organizing yearly blood donation campaign in my previous company. And its really feel great! If we reach 20 nos. of volunteers...a mobile car will come to our place. they just need at least 500cc each. Please lets do it!
