'Brain dead' Tamanna saved three Lives

Little Tamanna, a three-year-old brain dead child, saved three lives after her organs were transplanted on three patients struggling to survive. The 21-month-old recipient of her heart became the youngest recipient of donated organ in the nation.

Tamanna’s liver was transplanted on a two-and-a-half-year old child at the Chettinad Hospital in Chennai, and a 60-year-old man received her kidneys at the Manipal Hospital.

Tamanna had blood group ‘O’ positive, which transplants far less complicated.
Tamanna was traveling back to home with her parents, Renilson and Nisha, both from Kerala, when their car collided with a truck in Bangalore resulting in multiple fractures on Renilson, who was still recovering in Manipal Hospital when the transplants were carried out. However, his wife could not survive the accident and died on the spot while daughter, Tamanna, ended up brain dead.
Renilson signed the necessary papers for the donation from the hospital bed where he lay recuperating

Moving on is simple; it's what you leave behind that makes it so difficult .
