I actually am a bit of a party animal on the quiet! Bringing my twins with me though and they're 6... which leads me to my next point (ha).

Does anyone know anything about childcare/ nannies/ baby sitters over there? Do people usually employ maids? Cheers. This is so helpful!

We have 4 types of broadband

1) speed 512 Qr. 200

2) 1mb Qr. 300

3) 2 mb Qr. 300

4)mozaic qr. 250 (land line cable TV and broadband speed 512)

No my dear.. you will not be living tooo isolated as you thought.. it is a matter of one hour hourney from the capital.. so don't worry much.. lots of people live there and thats why they are able to run a school there !!! But if are a party loving lady and love to taste different discos and bars.. you have to come to the capital at the weekend... hahahaha.. otherwise everything will go fine with you...best of luck... hope to welcome you and see you in Qatar soon !!!

ha... I am a little concerned about how far out we'll be.. Is there anyone else out there who's living in Dukhan? Am I going to be waaaay too isolated??? :0

Hello Fran ! Dukhan is too far from the capital.. it is industrial city mostly occupied by professionals working oil and gas industry. Yes.. you will get broadband in your home... waiting to welcome you in Qatar...

All supplied by one ISP though Qtel - it's a little unpredictable at times, can drop in and out and it's a little slow. But at least we ahve it huh!

He is going to work in School in Dukhan QP compound. and Your broad band is available there
