car mechanic
Hi,
My car wont start, had new battrey fixed about 6 weeks ago so can't be the problem, think it may be the starter motor that needs replacing - does anyone know of any mobile mechanics that could come out? The car is at home so I need someone to come out take a look at it, cheers.

first check the cable connections from battery, if u just bought it there could be a disconnection from the cables. if not 99% starter motor failure. if you go to service they will charge you around ~3000 QR for starter motor + 500 QR or more for labour. I dont know where is the starter motor excatly in trailblazer but some cars, it is very hard to reach it and if trailblazer is one of those, your labour costs could reach around 1000 QR or more. My advice is call a break down car service and tell them to take your car to industrial area, street 19 al-biroj garage. Number should bi 34 or 36 i can not remember. the mechnics are very good there. they can fix it for a very cheap price. send my greetings to Mr. Talal, my name is jan, if he can not recognize tell him red 350Z he will recognize and will give you extra discount :)

The starter motor has at least two main connectors, one from the battery and another one from the ignition key. You can check if the starter works by bridging the two poles on the starter solenoid with a screwdriver. Such you'll find out two things: a) if the starter motor is OK, and b) if the battery has enough power. Do it with the ignition in "On" position.
chevrolet trailblazer. Its not cranking at all, think it could be the alternator.......either way I need to get a mechanic out here, just wondered if anyone knew of any decent ones?
If its cranking there is no problem with your starter try to check the crank sensor and the ASD relay.which car you are using?
