Carwa Taxi Drivers with RED ID tag

Did anybody experienced being harassed and cheated by the taxi driver? well funny thing just this day when me and my colleague ride a taxi since it's our daily route from accommodation to work vice versa and normally pay 11 to 12riyal with the tariff day time rate of 1 (inside doha) but it end up 16 almost 17 riyals.
1st I ask please give a Receipt, he replied no receipt just pay! (arrogant creature)
2nd I ask why is it your tariff meter is on highlighted marker? replied if you have no money i will bring you back!( act of guilt) my colleague almost fell from the car since he was half way out of the car then the car just ran without closing the door. means (harassment).
3rd it was reported Immediately to Carwa but we really don't know if there are actions.

Note: did not happened once or twice it happened several times.

Modus operandies are and should be very vigilant:
1. Other meters they will highlight with black marker on the left side of the Number "0" Zero so it will look like number "1" One.

2. Carwa Taxi Drivers are like magicians. especially if the meter is near the gear once they are on the stop light watch the finger because they swipe and switch it into Number 0 faster than your eyes... "magic"

3. If the meter is on the top of the dash board watch the the receipt because its covering the Tariff Rate, that will be a hint of fast switch of button.

4. Carwa drivers are good in abstract and reasoning lol... once you noticed something is not right? they are defensive right away will tell you... "just pay how much you usually pay because everyday we change car and most of the time meters are not the same" how the....? means meters are not calibrated the same. maybe one made out of China and one made out of Japan?

For all commuters out there you should be aware that day time rate the Tariff Rate should be 1 that includes inside doha and take note Industrial Area is considered as "inside doha" according from a press release of Carwa sometime last month edition. If you experience the same modus operandi? call 44588888 and report right away "don't forget the plate number" :D. take the name they should have ID always, if they will provide receipt all the information are there including the complete name of the driver, time, plate number, amount and distance travelled.

Happy Riding Carwa :D

I am not against with our Indians brothers because I have a lot of Indian Friends from work, but yes I encounter all of these scenarios with Indian Drivers, no offend but maybe because Karwa offered a very low salary but its not our fault as a commuter they accepted the responsibilities they sign the contract then it is really not in our hand that they have this wretchedness rate for their salary.

The Karwa driver are doing like this, Sometime they will not On the Meter, They are saying its not Working, if you Urge with them then they will ON it, But most of them are from kerala, they Do like this, Now the karwa management Put Some Censor in the front Seat, If you Set in the front Seat Its will On Automatically but what they are Doing Now they will Close the Front Door & Say Please Set back Side If you Ask them why ??? then they will say the seat is Broken, Its actually not broken But they want to Play & earn money On wrong way.

I see alot of driver Doing like this,

Why becasue they are Saying that we have small Salary & Everyday we have to pay 275 QR / day to the Company, & there is no Customer. If there is no Customer so we are responsable for it.

We request to the management Of Karwa to take the Neccessery action.

Thankx

I have noticed one more thing, most of times Karwa drivers first ask where you want to go and if it is a bit near they will refuse to go and if you argue with them on meter, they will simply refuse that my duty is finished and i am going back to station so can't take you to your place but with the same driver if you agree to pay without meter what he asks, he will even take you outside doha. Also indian drivers mostly drive very rough and dont care for giving any sort of indicators when turning or changing lanes and dont care for traffic rules and road safety at all.

Do you mean Karwa, or is this a new taxi company, what do their vehicles look like so we can all avoid them.
