Fourth...my option is Thursday for the show bro...cos first...ppl wud wanna come and relax watching a comedy play after a tiring week, second, ur show timings are quite reasonable, and ppl who wanna head out after the show will be the best time about 10 or 10:30 after the play then go to a pub or drink rather than early times...so that show time or ur play time is quite apt for the Thursday buddy...

Friday ppl can get up at leisure and thats the day when most of the families would go out with thier kids to shopping, play gardens etc...

so Thursday buddy...

Where is Charan...i m sure abscondin...or rahter Ray what did u ask him to buy that he vanished off...

LOL. Yeah its like a lottery ain't it? But the good part about shows is that you can read the reviews before going for it, unlike movies where you go with high expectations and end up something like Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. LOL

So the confusion still remains. I think I'll stick to Friday. My Doha experience does say people are pretty laid back here. Doha isn't like Dubai or Bombay where plans change by the minute and they could accommodate two things into one evening. They like to chill out and do relaxing stuff like music of just faffing around not doing much on a Thursday eve.

Any show at Gulf Cinema becomes a formal event where people hate to re-dress into formals and then go out again in the evening to show off looking at their best. On fridays, they're generally relaxed and have sufficient time on their hands to get geared up. I guess that speaks a lot about lazy attitude in here.

But all in all, I think the biggest USP should be the show itself, if it ain't worth it people won't turn up even on the Eid holidays! LOL

LOL. I liked the cursing or praising the organizer part. But see Doha isn't like India, many people are actually on two shift jobs, especially these days when the man and the woman, both have to work to stay afloat. There are quite good chances that either of them could end up working on a two shift job.

I didn't get the point about 'all are in town'. Well if you were say travelling on Friday, whether be it Europe, India or even Dubai, would you really care to come for the show on Thursday?

Thrusday evening- Its working day so all r in town.Play has got perefct time span of an hour or so if it is so with your play also....You can go home ,go for a play and still go get drunk and praise the organiser if you liked the play or curse him after 2 drinks if you didnt like it .....LOL

Well yeah that way I could start off by say 7 PM and wind up by 9.30 PM. Even those working on Saturday's would still find it easy on timings.

Thursdays have always been DJ and clubbing thing.

they were not married at that point in time, only engaged or sumthing like that and SRK always gets his wife for all the parties that I have been to where he attends, but for this one he came alone and then she kept coming to us requesting us to sing some more coz she said she was waiting for SRK to open dinner and she wud not without him and blah blah... Besides, there is so much more that I saw with my own eyes that din make headlines... will tell you bout it sometime...

One of the best guys i liked as a person was also Jackie Shroff... always wasted and humble... lol!!!

I was like... damn, there goes my fav actress... lol!!! i used to be in love with her after I saw her in that Qayamat Se.... Tak movie... but she was a lot prettier in person and very humble as well... lol!!!

I honestly couldn't hear Ksarat all that well. Thats why I told him about calling back. He sounded quite fine and was talking about Indian team's good performance in the thirt test.

The lower lobby has Bombay balti on one side and Ruby's Wu chinese on other side ,what is novel is the partition they have in form of small bar stand called indo chine in centre .....

As for food list it just havent got any selection there are 5 gravy's same for lamb,chicken and almost same for sea food....6 veg dishes....appetizers are likes of chicken pakora,onion pakora ,masala papad...... NO TANDOORI ITEM at bombay balti...Taste was'nt great either.

Service sucks -Dull sad looking guys and girls who cant understand what you want until explained 3 times....everything was delayed while there wasnt too much crowd.....

Wine list is not great either

Love the Friday Brunch in Corniche resturant at marriot..good food..and good view...lol. Did you sit near the Pool side? oh probably the weather was not god for outside....its lot more fun in pool side..

It's just that SRK is not my fav actor and so i dun think he rules... my best Hindi actors are Paresh Rawal, Naserudin Shah, Anupam Kher... give them any role and you won't be disappointed...

Yeh Bombay Balti sux... I was at the Marriott FRI afternoon for their Brunch... was great... they now have the Live Asia spread and a li'l Indian spread included in the buffet as well... besides it's such a nice atmosphere with the Live Latin Music... good chicas on there... lol!!!

Were you there FRI nite at Qube for "The Clash" of the bands? Dude... that was so fcuked up... the sound there is aweful and out of the 3 bands that played, the American one was kinda good, but the other 2 filipino bands (with all due respect to my fili friends on here) were sad... plain loud and messed up...

I know... all the reviews are like amazing. The best part about it I guess is that not many had good expectations of this movie doing well. Even SRK said on Star Cricket that he didn't know how well would the movie do and how are people gonna take it. But he said they've really rolled out a good movie and its pretty close to his heart.
