Hi People

Well i am in the process of joining you guys in Doha...I have a few quieres with re to the whole process...People may ve asked these questions time n time again but then every individual has different problems /queires...

1)Well accomodation seems to be a real concern and it just seems to be a nightmare by reading the posts of other topics...Is it that bad?
2)My company is not providing accomodation...they want me to come and share with bachelors, till i get my documents all sorted out and then bring my family.
the problem is i wish to bring my small family with me...i intend to keep them with me, maybe by paying for their visa till i get everying sorted...Is a visa like that avaliable for say max 6 months and how much will it cost

Thats all for time being...pls do help me

Wish u lovely people a lovely time

No need to thank me.

U can get the tourist visa for your family within one working day. But you have to find a cheap hotel which does this for you. Coz some hotels r charging quiet a lot of money to arrange visa. I did the same thing to my wife and i had to pay QR 1000 for the hotel. But i think there r hotels which do it lesser rate than that one.

Well your family will have to go back and come again under your sponsorship when u got the RP.

Thanks Doom for that post...

Which means i still wont be able to bring them along with me ne de...

Ok so i come there alone, how many days will it take for me to arrange the tourist visa and for them to actually come.(coz if it takes 10days or so there is really no point)

And say i get my RP ,does it mean my faily still ve to out and come or can i sponsor them when they r there itself...

thanks

HI..Im from SL too. You can get tourist visa for your family for two weeks and you can extend that for further two weeks. So after that they will have to go back and come again.

After you get your RP, you can sponser your family. If you are trying to get tourist visa for your family you have to come here first and find a cheap hotel which will arrange visa for your family. You cannot get visa from Sri Lanka coz they dont stamp visa from SL.

getting visit visa i am not sure how do you get it. i will answer you on sunday. if someone knows how to get it and he/she is reading your questions i hope they answer you. residence visa i believe the company who will sponser you should make that for your. if the company is active ( not lazy) they will give it to you within one week or 10 days after your arriving. Dila till now no one can get residence visa for his family but i am totally sure. becuase i have friends from pakistan they are hardly trying to get residence visa for thier family but they faild . who knows Dila YOU MIGHT BE THE ONE who will have that chance.

please guys correct my information if i am wrong.

dila ... i just check your nationality is sri lankan, you can't sponsor your family till you receive your resident permit. Your family might only be able arrive on 2 weeks visa. I am not too sure too about this ... last time my mum visiting me ... she only get 2 weeks visa that renewable once inside the country, when you want to renew it again you have to fly out and fly back in again.

my suggestion ... you should wait you got your visa sorted then bring your family in.

well it also make me ask

where do i get visa for my wife n kid?shud i get it from here or do i arrive and ask for a six month visa?Do you think my that time my Residency visa will be approved and i ll be able to convert my family's visit visa to a residence visa thru my sposorship...

also do u think a friend or so cuc find accomodation for us to stay when we arrive...

thanking you all again

visa is not a problem. for time being they cannot have resident visa. they can have only visiting visa which is 6 months.

yes accomodation is nightmare as you name it. not less for 4000 QR for small 2 bedrooms apartment.
