i didn't say i had a problem with it - i was simply asking if he was against all discrimination, or only against discrimination against muslims.

i am not saying that this is the case with yarubba, but there seems to be a lot of people around here who have a very selective moral outrage.

I just wonder what on what ground he can complaint about.. is there any discrimination law in Qatar?

By the way, isn't it the law that certains percentage of shares in a company must own by the locals? So, Is he complaining about Muslims discriminating Muslims??

Confused..

If the man feels that is company is discriminating against muslims and wants to take action against it... whats your problem?

a lot of qataris are overpaid for what they do and make far more than their western or eastern counterparts.

does that offend you too?

I can understand where he's coming from, alot of western Managers usually ask what people's religion is and/or how devoted to their religion they are which is illegal.

Ah well.

Equal opportunity means no discrimination. By saying you want "more" muslims, you have just trashed your first principle of "equality".

To really understand whether your company actually discriminates, one needs to know more about the company....much much more.

Qatar is an islamic country, but it doesnt follow the policy of looking for muslims when seeking out expatriates. So if you have Christian or Hindu expatriates, how do you expect a large percentage in your company to be muslims?

And what does your company do? Perhaps if you vend women of ill repute, or peddle intoxicants for example, muslims may not be inclined to seek employment within your organisation.

Unless we understand your case (or even the point), this is a lost cause.
