After 33 years and such long lull & low it was time for Calypso once again, winning World T20 y’day, What a great performance by the (once) powerhouse of Cricket!!. Congratulations to West Indies cricket team and people from Antigua, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica et al.
It was sheer pleasure to watch Chris ‘the Hurricane’ Gayle in Semifinal mincing mighty Australia (75 of 41 balls). Sunil Narine ‘the spin wizard’ will keep us entertaining for time to come.
It was exactly as I had predicted - except the other team won.
Well done the Windies. This will hopefully encourage younger players to come through. Sad that Sri Lanka lost on home soil, but such is the way with sports.

it must have been real disheartening for SriLanka to lose two finals in row , ODI WC & this, especially at home, but they too played well, atleast untill semifinal.

Don't matter. West Indies have won the T20 and are the champions. Sri Lanka still to win this tournament..:)
If Lanka has won every time then how did West Indies become the world champions?
They were the most entertaining team to watch in the Tournament, I think the big headed stars from the subcontinent should learn a few things from these Calypso kings..:)
Did you know: Sri Lanka and West Indies have met 4 times in T20 internationals. Lanka has won every time.
