DHL - Delivery Horrendously Late

QLers,

Beware to stay away from the bloody service of DHL as they are the best in the following:

1) The best in longest delivery lead time once the items have arrived in Doha.
2) The best for poorest customer service responses when enquired about the shipment.
3) The best in ripping off customers for their courier services and giving the customers the night mare for using their services.

They just updates the tracking details putting the blame on Customs when actually it could be because of their unprofessional services. Either they will have missed the shipment items or they will have issues with Customs, for which unfortunately its their poor customers who is suffering by choosing their service.

Again DHL, Delivery Horrendously Late!

They and the other lousy courier companies around town tried blaming the customs and everbody else for their shoddy deliery services but I suppose if this companies spend a little of their profits on proper training of their employees and if their managers spend more time with the guys doing the rounds instead of warming their chairs then the end result would be less complaints and a more efficient service

just go for TNT, DHL is actually lousy when it comes to service, we had delayed deliveries and it happened not just once or twice. :(

Considering that customs have new rules or changes their rules from time to time, but have they informed their customes about it? No! And they use customs rule as their lousy excuse.

It left Lebanon Thursday 3PM and it arrived Doha yesterday 2:00PM.

We use UPS and the service is also good.

there are other factors why a shipment gets delayed.

maybe it depends on what kind of package.

Aramex is the best, specially with their Shop & Ship service, exactly not more than two days the shipment from USA will be ready for delivery in Doha.

prices also the lowest per weight even for the documents.

may be because of new customs rules. I was having another shipment from US and this time I stopped using DHL and used their competitor instead. Without any hassles on the 4th day I received my shipment. So, is the new Customs rules applicable only for DHL - Delivery Horrendously Late?

And I'm not bringing down any explosives, chemicals or hazardous goods. It's just some hobby stuff which will not value more than 400 US Dollars.

Don't blame DHL; they are just doing what every other service sector in this country is doing.

They said it's because of the new custom rules. My package also got delayed for almost 3 weeks because of that.

I have had many disappointments with DHL and now prefer Fedex.

I am not justifying DHL but I heard that there are delays which are out of their control.
