Do Qatari nationals have to sit a driving test?
By andyscrabble •
Always wondered if nationals have to do the full driving test here before getting behind the wheel... do Qataris have to sit a full test, or can they just start driving from a certain age?
Does someone just call out my name??!
Some of the drivers in this country scare the living bejezus out of me...
I think I've lost track of how many people have tried forcing me off the road if I don't drive fast enough for them or how many have nearly smashed my car when they drive zig-zag to get further ahead....
I thought the aim WOULD be to hit other cars with litter. You know, so the driver loses concentration and smashes into a pole...
Well, I won’t argue on that.
By law, to get the driving license, you’ve got to undergo the test. Well, let’s say some, don’t really go through the driving test like every one else. S, L & PARKING tests are ignored, and they’ve been tested only for street driving. ;)
me sarcastic????
Only a few more points to go until Im at 500 yay me!!!

"The baby was doing really well too, she succesfully swerved between cars at approx 150kmh and only cut up several cars in the process, however it was her brothers that amazed me, they were car surfing from the sun roof and throwing litter out of the window that was perfectly aimed so as only just missing other cars!!!
Fantastic!!!"
---------- > or SARCASTIC !!!! lol.
from an early age, how many babies have you seen helping daddy drive on his lap whilst daddy is on the phone, saw a baby less than 12 months old the other day driving whilst daddy was texting!!

Safety Meassures for our own safety i guess. i've attend a defensive driving course in qatar gas during 2000 or 2001 and just wondered about the stupidities we can find on roads. road structure, vehicle condition (it's far better than early), driver's attitudes (competitions etc..), even the faults frm traffic administration (they are too human being & mistakes are quite natural).
i guess , anyone to obtain a license, he/she should attend a driving test.
As i heard some time back that Qataris need not have a eye testing for renewing the driving license. But all other nationalities should have eye test for renewal. i wonder did god gives special eyes to all qataries? and all other nationalities not . It is really disregard to other nationalities who drive on Qatar roads.
traffic department talks so much about road safety. but their policies are really meaning less
Definitely yes they do sit and they do fail the test and they do pass the test too.

Yes, they have to sit a full driving test just like the rest of us. Yet you still can see many teenager driving powerful vehicle without licence i guess.
