Since dark brown dominates light colors when mixed it only makes sense that the color would be tan! I don't find that to be a racist idea. I know its hard to swallow for people that may be of a lighter skin, but your great, great, great grand children are probably going to be classified as tan if not black one day, LOL! but thats the fact. So why can"t we all be friends now instead of waiting until then.

On another note:Swissgirl, regarding going back in time and another place when we all spoke alike, I take it that you are talking about the dark skinned african people.

I personally think that there isn't as much racism as there is discrimination. Form what "I" see its more of a class distinction and of course racism plays into this.

I am always excited to go to sleep! In anticipation of the new experience I will find awaiting me.

..........So why should we all be light brown ?

Why not everyone be white skinned ?

What you said is slightly racist isnt it !

this is a silly question...all you have to do is look outside your door to see the racism.

Racism has existed from almost the beginning of time and history. I do believe with education is getting less, but will never reach what we should be in the level of tolerance.

BArryj...it would be nice if everyone would accept the other if they were all light tan but even then, they;d find a reason such as mole or no mole, hair or no hair, to find a reason to dislike another person...Sometimes I wonder just HOW the human race has survived as long as it has. No wonder God wiped us all out with a flood so many years ago!!

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Racism is everywhere...

Racism has existed throughout human history. It may be defined as the hatred of one person by another -- or the belief that another person is less than human -- because of skin color, language, customs, place of birth or any factor that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person.

It's not just different skin colour.. I studied with a Nigerian guy years ago. You wouldn't believe what he thought about Ghanians... Similarly, the Germans hate the Poles.. Same colour, but racism..

man is basically good in nature. however, his impulses to judge is always bad, later he realizes to do good through discernment and wisdom from God.

Just look at the way rich Arabs treat their maids and workers, and then tell me if racism exists or not.

They talk about Islam, but in Islam it says that we are all equal (atleast thats what my parents taught me), yet out here people with no money are treated like slaves.

Its quite sad actually. No wonder people in the West think that we Muslims are a bunch of barbaric savages. [sigh]
