Equal justice for all
Every country in the GCC claims that their justice system if fair and just. Is this the example of equal justice for all? If this would happen in most parts of the world this animal would be locked away for a long time. I am sure if he was an expat they would have locked him up by now and made an example of.
It seems that the courts see this situation as a lesser offence. I wonder why?

Dubai: A court has handed down six months' suspended jail term for a merchant for having sex with his maid.
The Dubai Court of First Instance found the 42-year-old Emirati guilty of having sex with his 22-year-old Indonesian housemaid.
Records said the accused dropped his children and a second Indonesian maid he had employed at a park before rushing home to have sex with the victim.
Public Prosecution records quoted the maid accusing the mechant, who is her sponsor, of trying to pay her Dh1,000, which she rejected, before he raped her.
"He walked into my room while I was ironing the family's clothes... he offered to pay me Dh1,000 in cash, which I refused because it was not my salary. Then he used one hand to silence me, undressed me with the other hand, and raped me," the woman claimed in her statement to the Public Prosecution.

what can I say... the court has decide already.
just pray for her
everywhere. But I think we are missing the bigger picture---he was convicted and only given a 6 months suspended sentance! Now that's the part that is outrageous.
Good and bad are everywhere...
In general, these kinds of incidents happens everyday everywhere, Nothing new !
About justice... yes there are injustice happening, that is why there is a day called 'Day of Judgement'
AS you said, these cases occur everywhere in the world.. BUT.. in countries puporting to be civilized, mostly the rights of the victim are protected by the judicial system..
Happens everyday in the West. But in a "Muslim" country? Haram.
