Just sharing an incident.
I had an accident in which I hit the dividers on the side of the road, fine I paid the fine and everything. The matter was closed then one day I get a letter from the insurance company of my Rent-a-car company that one more car got damaged from the debris flying off my car, I checked the pics of other cars. It was completely damaged from the front, now no car hit me and only my rear-view mirror flew off so how did that car got damaged, It was an obviously fake claim but since I was at fault, I agreed to that and asked the insurance company to let me know when I have to pay. A few days later I got a visit from the insurance company of the guy who was claiming damages to his car, he said I have to pay him within that day or else they are calling the police. I went to that insurance company’s office and asked them that my rent a car’s insurance company is already asking for it so why do I pay you. They said no you have to pay us not them and pay immediately or else we call the cops. I asked them to give a photocopy of all the documents in the file that they had regarding the incident which they refused. It was all in Arabic so I couldn’t understand anything. Now sensing that something might be wrong, i told them to give me the photocopies or else I won’t pay. They gave me the photocopies after that provided I make the payment there and then.
I took the photocopies and left their office without paying. I went to an Arabic lawyer friend of mine to study the documents, he studied them and told me that insurance claim has already been settled between the two insurance companies and I am not liable to pay anything to anyone. They can’t call the police as well as the issue is already settled. When I called up the insurance company to ask them why the hell were they threatening me and demanding payment when everything is settled, their response “Sorry” and they disconnected the phone.
What bunch of frauds and crooks are operating here.

I mean I may have not read the part from the Encyclopedia Britannica that you have posted there for your story. Its without paragraphs or important " .." I mean ... forget it guys .. tooo much sensitivity here

Rookie17 she didn't make the payment, read properly mate!! Loads of crooks here, something similar happened to one of my colleagues about a year ago, he bought the docs into work to someone who reads arabic and same thing..issue resolved!!!
call the Police!
Call the police. They will try to do this again, it's fraud and they deserve to go to jail if what you have written is true

should have gone to your Arabic Lawyer friend first rather than making payment
I do know that so many are really trying to be crooks over here but as rizks said they are not good at it, thanks for sharing such an experience and really I wish you have had put in this to the attention of the police, I really hope that the authorities over here look into such cases seriously....
Because both the companies were trying to dupe me and threatening me with legal action on top of that. Maybe I should have written are all insurance companies crooks here but I am slightly agitated to put it mildly so pardon my choice of words.
