Extra Books and Clothes for Donation

Hi Everybody,

I'm having a reasonable collection of old books, magazines, diaries etc. I really don't need any of them at all anymore. I was wondering if there exists any useful way to dispose them off. I mean is it possible i can donate them to some library, charity or anyone willing to have them (not interested in selling).
Secondly I do have some of my old clothes that I'm no longer willing to use. Is it possible to donate them somewhere so they can be then given to the needy (industrial area etc) or put to any other use.

Regards.

You can check http://qatarusedbooks.wordpress.com/ They advertise your used books on the website, or you can simply donate it. They just opened a facebook page http://www.facebook.com/UsedBookStoreQatar in which there going to be a community of people interested in book swapping, opening a book club etc.

Books can be donated to QAWS and to DID/CIQ. Qatar Vet Centre has a little room where donated books are sold and the money goes to help animals. QAWS has a portakabin at its site to sell donated goods. Thank you

Thank you everybody for your comments. I will surely try to find the bins first and get more info about them before dropping the clothes. For books I got some IELTS and GRE books as well as an oxford dictionary. If anybody is really interested or needs it then I can give it for free. Actually I don't want them just to be wasted rather put in use. I may earn some hasnaat (virtues)............ :)

Yes, a charity box is fixed at Lulu airport road as well, as FathimaH mentioned...for your old books you may contact Frenchies:

There are charity "bins" at various locations including the Lulu Gharafa branch, that you can drop them into.

As for the books though I don't know any place yet, sorry.
