FIFA considers simulated WC in Qater

Following denials that matches at the 2022 World Cup could be divided into three 30-minute periods to help players cope with the extreme summer heat in Qatar, top FIFA officials are considering far more drastic measures to combat the weather.

According to top sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity, FIFA is planning to conduct a virtual simulation of the 2022 World Cup to avoid the health risks of actually playing summer football in Qatar. Players will control digital versions of themselves from the safety of air conditioned dressing rooms in Qatar's stadiums. They will play 90-minute video game simulations of each scheduled match, which will be shown on large screens for fans in the arenas.

"Everyone knew going in that physically playing these matches in Qatar posed a very real chance of players melting on the pitch," said the source. "So video game matches seem to be the best compromise so the tournament can remain in Qatar. People these days like video games more than reality, anyway."

The revolutionary solution is not without its problems, though.

"The fear is that teams will field ringers -- kids who are exceptional at video games, but not actual athletes worthy of representing their nation. Physical tests will have to be done to prevent that. But not in Qatar during the summer months. Obviously."

This is outdated news. The latest reports from "News of the world" suggest that FIFA is mulling the possibility of conducting 2022 WC in the US of A. Spectators will be given the option to wear white thobes, black abayas, yellow or blue coveralls to give the world audience watching on TV an unique Qatari visual experience. The stadia will be covered will mostly maroon burgundy ads for Qatar Airways, QNC, CBQ, QP, etc....
