Hi All,

I got an offer from a company from Qatar. They offered me 6500 QR as a start, but they still didn't send me offer letter as they have not received the working VISA for me. Please kindly let me know it will take longer time? Also is it enough to live with 6500 QR?

Thank you & Best Regards,

Yes you will possibly safe but don't expect a lot. If you are just renting a room, it will cost anywhere between QR 1700 - QR 2000 ( some incl electricity & water ). The balance will depends on how you want to spent it. Meals cost as low as QR8 to QR100 depends what you want to eat.

Yes, in Europe, not in the 'richest country in the world' though.

HI LP thanks, No its not included. I will have to find a accommodation and food and transport. The package does not include anything!

The cost of living are different from person to person. Rents are double of what they are in Europe, food is almost the same (slightly more expensive). The rest is as in Europe (except for fuel). The poverty line in Europe is 800 Euro (appr. QR 4.000). If you earn more than that, you are not "poor".

QR6500..is it enough to live? if it includes everything i.e. transport, accommodation and food then it will only made you to meet ends...if you are having a bit expensive lifestyle then you need some loan to survived...and that my friend is the beginning of all your trouble in life..

A visit visa is actually intended to be temporary with no further processing. Normally you get a visa which allows you to enter Qatar once. It has a validity (6 month, I think). After that, you can't use it for entry. However, coming with this visa allows you to apply for and complete the RP. If the company has not sent you this type of visa, then I think they cannot sponsor you.

Thats bad :( I have my visit VISA with me. Will that help them to get this done immediately?

If they don't have "quota" for your nationality, they will NOT get the visa!

Wow thanks alot for everything, but what they said they have to check with government as they have quota??

UK, if a company wants to hire somebody, they will send a visa (one-entry). To get this takes a day! When he is here, they proceed with making the RP. You don't need an RP to enter Qatar and start working!

The flight could take up to 14 hours. I agree, UK.

Anything from 3month to 6 month depends on the company!
