Has any one experienced this?

has any one experienced while you are standing at a traffic signal waiting for singal to turn green and the vehicle behind you honks as soon as the same turn green?
Are the drivers running out of patience?

these honks are Extra alert for all morning drivers to Wake up and move quickly before the signal get RED again.

Its bullying for small cars to give way to 4x4s...

friend to Capital Police Station during Eid who got annoyed by continious honking and flashing as signals. It turned into road rage and ended up in fist fighting. :(

IGNORE and just laugh. Need practice but worth a try.

By anonymous• 8 Nov 2012 08:04

I normally get out of my car and ask the one who honks behind me what his problem was.

By anonymous• 8 Nov 2012 07:54

that when you are in an intersection that doesn't have a camera. Always wait for 3 seconds before going forward. There will always be someone who will try to go despite the red signal in their lane.

Disregard those who honks behind you. It not their car and their life at stake here.

By GodFather.• 8 Nov 2012 07:40
GodFather.

Normal Practice in this part of the world!

When I took my drivers class, I was advised only to use my horn to avoid an accident. It irritates and stresses other drivers. Since coming here, I mostly stressed and very much irritated :(

By lawa• 8 Nov 2012 07:01

It irritates me when someone honking right behind my car to get the way near signal and the signal is red

By stealth• 8 Nov 2012 06:17
stealth

some people are busy on the phone, not even knowing that signal has turned green. It helps to make them come back to their senses.

Some people think they are the road owners... Never pay attention to the honkers without genuine situation.

By cracydutch• 8 Nov 2012 03:53
cracydutch

how did you get your driver license? your dad payed for it but you never went to class ?

and now you drive a land cruiser thinking you own the road?

never hearded of a 1 second distance rule???

i have a bumper sticker witch states in small print"if you can read this you are to close"

if you ever drive behind me,.on speed and you can read it,..i would say "eat my towhitch" i drive a big SÜV as well ;)

By Badly• 8 Nov 2012 03:33

ok so are you guys the people who gets the honk or flashing headlights, obviously your the drivers who drive like turtle lol try to be smart on the street, speed a bit as behind there people who wants to go home/work or any other place.

like once you see the green light gone you stop as if theres no yellow before the red.

once it turn green, takes around 30 seconds to start driving as you are the only person whos waiting on the traffic light no one behind lol.

but yeah not your problem, its the banks. you never know what does car means untill you get to gcc then you buy a car through a bank and then you try to discover how to use the car on the street between others which cause accidents.

By dot_sulaiman• 8 Nov 2012 02:54

Not as bad as people who start honking when the light turns yellow.

those are the best ;)

or like today,. crowded street,.. left lane just a that over the speedlimit,.suv behind us,.was nibbling on the rear of the car,.told my coworker,..drive next to the lorry upfront,.uptill the cab and then back off on the throttle,. so the asshole behind us was stuck in between cars and could not go anyware untill we speed again finally when the suv overtoke us,.was a lady on the phone doing way over 100 clicks,.lol

By britexpat• 7 Nov 2012 20:56

By cracydutch• 7 Nov 2012 20:52

There is nothing wrong in it. It even helps the pedestrians to stop.
