Housing Classifieds
I find it increasingly difficult to navigate the rental classifieds as it seems no one is quite sure how to post ads.
A bedspacer is not a freestanding villa, compound villa or flat. It is shared accomodation. I was just searching for villas and all I can find are bedspacers for Filippinas.
Furnished and un-furnished would be nice also. Qatari and Ahmed have done a wonderful job with the classifieds, I dont think this is the mods problem, people have to be more responsible when posting. ____________________________________________________

I am Looking for an appartment at the moment, but there are so many posts that it will take you years to go through everything... could qatar living watch add to the Price search facility (the from - To) option...

Om Maui you can go and delete your own classifieds, or simply edit them to read SOLD.
QL rent classifieds are not being as useful as they can as many people (such as myself) are becoming frustrated with the mis-posted ads (I really think they are doing this for massive post exposure but it is having the opposite effect). _____________________________________________________

if the moderator/webmaster is taking note also, i hope that there is a way to show if the For Sale advertisement has an attached photo, because it's really tiring to check one by one, only to find that there's no photo, and it's really tough to consider buying something you don't see!
AND, if the item has been sold, i wish there is something that the seller can click to mark it as SOLD, and automatically the advert gets deleted from the list. you see, i posted some items in here for sale, and thanks to QL, they got sold easily. but there are still people calling me, and i sound like a parrot, "sorry it's been sold, yadda yadda, yadda...."

I have to agree with what is posted here. I frequently have a look at the housing section and it makes no sense! Can you not divide the Housing section into two distinct parts? One for shared or roommates section so that the all the ones looking to "share" can find what they are looking for and people that are looking to rent a full villa or apartment need not go through all the useless posts not related to their query?
Plus, to all those posting housing in the classifieds.............please respect the fact that this is a great service offered free of charge by QL. Stop abusing this privilege and post properly!
I thought it was just me! Sometimes I'll click on a villa only to be directed to page 113 which is year 2008 ?. I also type in the search bar to get archives which have not been deleted. There should be a cut-off date and then old listings should be deleted....

yeah thats true even the rent amount were not specified sumtimes, i suggest they try not to post if not complete to let them know they should specify..
yes, it's hard. most posters don't realize how important it is to categorize their ads properly. sometimes people who are looking for flats should put their ads under Wanted, but instead they go for Rent, and it's really making it hard to filter.
i hope the moderator / webmaster comes up with a smart way of ensuring accuracy for easy filtering and search.
