In due respect to the author of this topic..,i became so interested with the conversation..., AND WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE ELSE GOES WRONG DURING THE TIME THAT YOU'RE ALREADY A "FAMILY"?...meaning that it's not only the 2 of you but it is the three of you... How would you consider yourself in situation that you need to part ways but there is a strong meaning that you should not....your child...

Try to figure out the factors contributing to separation. Ofcourse there must be something that is triggering this separation & what is the guarantee if both the parties separate & marry someone else, would they be 100% happy in new relationship?

No one can claim to be an error free person, ideals do not exist, ideals are only fantasies.

I am sure lending patience ear to each other grievances might work wonders, so go for that first.

Good luck.

no one can tell what the kids really feel, in their teenage years we will know what the effect is... i witnessed this kind of fact for couples who can no longer stay together..kids suffer it is true...they reflect and mirror what adults are doing.

but it is also true it is better to move far than cause more pain and not being able to keep peace and harmony in the family.

Separation/divorce is difficult for all parties involved, consider how this will effect the children as they are not mature enough to cope with the stress and trauma, but if separation is the answer to ur problem, it's best to find some ways tht can minimize this impact as much as possible.

na,its not the kid.especially when they are little, the only thing they need is harmony, they feel very good if something is not going well between the parents.so it would be better to make a peaceful agreement.but just stay together because of a kid is not the right thing in my eyes.

do you think the kid will never get too emotional during the time of transition...i mean a kid always pictures the perfect family as an ideal one....

Just one comment from me.. Why suffer.. if you can't bear to be together, walk away, but take care of the kid..

Whatever the reason, try to work it out, learn to forgive and forget..start anew. That is, if you still love each other and your family. If love is gone, it's gone...you will just be unfair to yourself and to your family and you won't be happy living pretending that everything is alright. There were couples who managed to part ways but keep their focus on their child. Well, it depends, whether you want to save your relationship or not. Then you can decide on what to do next..just make sure that the kids don't suffer. Do what will make you happy and be ready for the consequences.
