I have only been here for two weeks, and only been driving for one week in Doha
I am amased that there are not hundreds of car accidents on roundabouts, does anyone actually know how to use them correctly in Doha, cutting from outside lane to the inside lane to exit, across 3 lanes seems to be the normal, and no indicators, wow i thought Dubai was bad
I guess i just have to get used to it
does anyone know what the rules are on roundabouts in Doha,if there are any rules

davidz59, i am not sure if anyone at your working place have pointing it out to you yet. But pls MAKE SURE that you NEVER show any MIDDLE FINGER when you have a road rage building up inside your system (at least not showing it to the another driver or road users openly especially locals). You can get DEPORTED (after being jailed) for that.

Bear that in mind all the time while you are out and about driving around here.

Signed,

8 years Qatar Road User.

I am sure i have many more discoveries, someone should film a roundabout in peak hour and send it to Funny Home Videos

Just push your way through. For sure the oncoming guy from the opposite will brake to give you way. No doubt he will show a middle finger, but in this part of a the world, its best to practice thick headed to survive.

the rule is simple the car in the roundabout go 1st then the car out.

P.S If you got a Lancer wait tell all the roads Become empty, Sport cars go before even they blink.

David...

ORGANIZED CHAOS - works.

Accidents are caused by people that stick to rules, as they expect others to do the same. WRONG!!!

Chaos works.

Well, yes, the rules are simple. If you are turning right, use the right hand lane and stay within the white lines of that lane all the way. If you are going straight, use the center lane and signal that you are getting off at the appropriate time. Again, do not change lanes. If you are going left, use the left-hand or inside lane, and carefully signal when you are exiting since you will be crossing traffic. There, that wasn't so hard, was it?

a QL search will reveal that unfortunately, according to some people - there are no traffic laws regarding round about or any other driving signals, signs, speed limits etc.
