how's life for gay men???

I'm about to accept a role in/at Education City, as a Professor. But I'm gay. Is this a 'friendly' culture for people like me, or am I about to become celibate for 3 years?

Any thoughts or suggestions regarding nightclubs or appropriate behavior gratefully recommended. I'm not a "queen", but I just happen to be homosexual...
