I don't get it - tags

I don't understand why people have that tag in their car window. I'm assuming it's the tag that comes on the car when they buy it, or they put it up themselves for some reason. Don't know. Do they keep it to reduce depreciation? Do they keep it to show off they have a brand new car? Do they have it because they want to export the car? Is it for good luck? Superstition maybe? I've seen a similar tag on a number of cars but I don't understand what it's for or why it's still there - can anyone shed some light...

qatar98764 - I think you're right. But one of my colleagues said it was superstition. sa12asa - I guess I'll never know. Maybe I'll ask someone who has it on their car next time. VINvin - be curious, life will be more fun.

Most of the cases to show people that the car is recently brought. Some people also keep it and when they sell the car they show that the tag is still there, that means how much care they did for the car. By that they attract buyers.
